Will Allen's be racing on the 20th? The schedule on the website hasn't been updated...:D

I just checked with Allen and he said there won't be any racing this Saturday. Should be some racing next Wednesday though.

As for a Saturday race before the series race (people have been asking), looking for possibly the 27th or July 4th weekend.

Work is being done to improve the high line like it use to be (can hear Chad Smith cheering from here) as well as reshaping the infield and radius of turns to reduce the double-apex the track devloped within the last year or so.

I will post more info on when the first race will be when I find out, but look for next Wednesday as the target date.

I was out there helping on wednesday and got to turn a few laps. It felt good to be at Allens again, but I'll tell you one thing - that old man can work a guy! I showed up expecting a little weed pulling a shovel of dirt here and there. It reminded me more of the opening scene Blazing Saddles! lol

"Come on, boys! The way you're lollygaggin' around here with them picks and them shovels, you'd think it was a hundert an' twenty degree. Can't be more than a hundert an' fourteen..."


Had fun helping out, Allen. Look forward to getting there next wednesday.

Yes Allen plans on racing this Wednesday if weather cooperates.

Plan on practice starting around 5:30 or so and racing at 7:30. 2 Heats and a Main (with bump ups) should allow us to get done by 10pm pretty easily. Might try to do a 3rd round depending on entries although it sounds like if we do race this week we'll have a pretty good crowd.

1/10 13.5 Late Model
Nitro Truck
MDM
1/18 (Losi) Late Model
1/10 Open Oval (any 1/10 car that doesn't fit in a class above)

We're working on trying to improve the highline over the last year or two before the series race. Should be better right now but we need to get a race or two on it to see where its at.

Looks like I've been grounded for the moment. I may not make it this week due to the kids needing the pool set up RIGHT NOW! lol. Can't blame them but Dang! I really want to be at Allens this week.
