Not bad......60 entries in 12-13 hrs......I know 8 weeks seems like a long time in advance but it'll be here before you know it......If you plan on making it, LMK and I will answer your questions as best I can.

Last year we had people from, Wi, Ia, Il, In, Oh, Tn, Ga, Mo, Ks, Ok, Tx and who knows where else......can we hit 200? How would it be racing 60+ others in electric sprint?

As of right now CW leads by two, then Hyperdrive and Dynotech close behind.

Tim McNutt and Mike Ottinger have designed a fast race car. It is not dominating the class. They have done their home work and designed a very competitive race car right out of the box. Sorry to hear that all the guys from the NSCS might not make it. "Rules Issue"? What is it that makes them feel they are at such a disadvantage? Is it the diff's? Side dam? Foams? I'm telling you guys, first off......I don't think I have seen 2 people running foams this year since the Losi tire works so good. Second, my car ran as fast (actually faster) with the stock set-up, out of the box diffs. And third, side dam.......it's just a simple piece of lexan. 4-5 holes in the body and you are set. I truely don't think the side dam is as important as people think. I was having trouble getting my car to turn with one on my car, took it off and still couldn't get it to turn. The car that won both classes last year had no side dam and rubber tires.......so you tell me. "Rules Issue" I don't think that is stopping anyone......come race......you might do better than ya think.

And I am not hitting you with anything......I AM just trying to get as many LM's here as we can.....I just can't understand why someone would stay away with the rules as they are. It's gonna be a good race no matter what.......I hope more decide to make the trip.......50-60 electric sprints.......25-30 nitro sprints, 40+ LM's, guys from 8-10 states, National Points race, CASH$$$ and ONS series all in one? Who wants to miss that?

Should have Hotel Info tomorrow afternoon. I had to wait and talk with Managers.....should be 2-3 hotels with good deals.

Getting there to the 170 entry mark and we will have to shut down classes, so if you know you might make it, LMK and I can save you a spot......otherwise you might have to wait 12 more LONG months for the 4th annual. I will be working on a schedule tomorrow too......I will try to have it posted by Friday afternoon.

Hmmmmmm, 125-130 total sprints and 65-70 Superlates? Dang this might get to be a good race....

We are going to ask everyone to help us out and get with someone you know......try to get 3 guys under one easy-up......Pits are definately going to get pretty full and it will help us all out if you can share a pit with someone.........

Other concern is campers........I know 3-4 that usually bring theirs, but space will be tight.......so if there is any way you can make it without the campers........please try........I am sure there will be 1-2 but I am hoping they are small ones and the people can pit right out of them.......

When everyone starts getting here.......if you are bringing a pit trailer.......It needs dropped off in a spot and the truck pulled around the other side of the block.......its not far but they cant stay there.....and the people who get there first, need to pit closest to the drivers stand and work our way OUT to the road.......seems like everyone wants to come in from the road and set-up......well, that blocks everyone else from getting in closer to the track.......so please.......start using the pits closer to the drivers stand first.....then make our way to the road......Thanks

I also heard the hotels are getting good response, Not full yet, but it wouldn't hurt to call and reserve your room now.......don't wait till the last minute, you might have to sleep in Springfield.....(20) miles away.

I wanna thank everyone now for helping me out, letting me know who is coming.....now we have a better idea of what we need and what to have on hand.......food wise and parts wise.......

I have had a few ask about entry fees........its $30 for the first one and $20 for any after that......if you are going to run 3 classes, its $70 ($30-20-20) and for families its the same, Wife enters for $30 and they can bring the husband for $20. LOL Same with father/son.......

I don't expect to get done before 3am Sunday morning so make plans accordingly......We will do our best to keep the show running and get you outta here as soon as possible. We will do what it takes to make sure everyone has a good time and good racing.......

Is anyone else getting excited? I know Dyer is chomping at the bit, Brucker and Land have an Epic battle (co-workers) Garcia wants to finish a main......don't matter which main it is, he just wants to finish one! I will also make sure the top is smooth for Malicoat, Smith, Ryder and anyone else who wants to venture up there........Klyber said to bring it Kelm, and the Thoennes bros are getting ready for another battle royal!

Well as bad as this kills me i must do it.The one race i will only miss for a couple things.
Just found out this week that our son will be home that weekend before he ships out to Somolia to fight the pirates.He is stationed on a new small attack ship that the Navy just built for this sort of thing. It will be the last time we will see him for awhile.So i must with draw my name from competition for this event.Hate this as i have a brand new Harper sprint just itching to see that big ole banked track.I know this will be an incredible event as alaways. Someone have a pork chop for me.
Hope to get there for a regular race Bill and Eugene and catch up with all the good folks over there.

Payout is determined by the amount of entries. But it's safe to say 1/8th scale would pay prolly $200-300 bucks to win, maybe more.

8am- Start setting up pits......no practice
10am track opens for open practice.......we will have 12 practice clips......so, no clip, no practice
10am-5PM practice......we will run a 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale seperate......
5:15-5:30ish track maintenance and Drivers meeting.......
6PM-9PM First round of qualifying........aprox 30 heats = 180 minutes
9PM-9:10 reshuffle and repost heats
9:15-12:15am 2nd round of qualifying
12:30am......track closed

Saturday......

Option 1

9:30-10am Track opens for practice
10am-2:30PM practice.....1/10th and 1/8th seperate
2:30-3PM track maintenance......
3:30-6:30PM 3rd round qualifying same as 2nd round.....(no reshuffle)
6:30-6:45 reshuffle
7-10PM 4th and final round of qualifying.....

This is why I didn't wanna post a schedule for Saturday.....I want the racers to vote at the drivers meeting Friday on 3-4 heats......if we only ran 3 heats, we would have time for dashes too.......so, its really up to the racers......3 rounds of qualifying and dashes or 4 rounds and mains.

Track records are falling......

Tonight and last week the record was broken in Electric sprint. Last week Brian Jucha went 38, 4:04 and tonight I went 38, 4:00....

1/8th LM's......Chad Smith's old record, 39, 4:05 was smashed by 3 people tonight (and Nick Antonovich last week......but with electric)......I went 39, 4:03, Dan Lewis went 39, 4:01.99, and Joel Gish went, 39, 4:00.47 with a fast lap of 5.99.....

So what that tells me is the track is getting faster and the track is super smooth.......wait till you see it.......I took some pics tonight......I will post em tomorrow........I gotta get some sleep......

I'm stoked.....

It's gonna be a tight field of LM's for sure.....

8am- Start setting up pits......no practice
10am track opens for open practice.......we will have 12 practice clips......so, no clip, no practice
10am-5PM practice......we will run a 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale seperate......
5:15-5:30ish track maintenance and Drivers meeting.......
6PM-9PM First round of qualifying........aprox 30 heats = 180 minutes
9PM-9:10 reshuffle and repost heats
9:15-12:15am 2nd round of qualifying
12:30am......track closed

Saturday......

9:30-10am Track opens for practice
10am-4:15PM practice.....1/10th and 1/8th seperate
4:15-4:50 track maintenance
5-8PM Third Round of qualifying..
8:15-8:45 dashes.....
9PM Start mains.....with bump-ups.....


Midnight finish up mains and hand out $$$ and prizes.......

We are not running 254 heat races for single lap qualifying......that is 3 hours worth of practice or 3 hours worth of sitting around watching one car at a time make a couple laps......It's not gonna happen.......to many entries and about 50% of the people don't wanna do it anyway........

Since this is not a 4 track series race, the tire rule has to go by DODC rules since this is a DODC national points race. I was just informed of this Friday night......because I figured it would be CW tires too.......but its any rubber tire I guess.......Sorry for the confusion

I talked to Bill and Cutman and the rules are more clear now concerning the 13.5 LM class. Since we run Street Trac's on our weekly races, it is best to continue such......so everyone who bought them can run them.......

13.5 LM Novak 13.5 motors only CW Street Trac's only......no side dams

I was also told we could run any battery (2S li-po or 6 cell) and call it modified 13.5.......would that be good for most? That way if you don't have a SMC 28C, 3200 li-po you can still run......let's hear what you want......any battery or DODC one?

Sorry for the confusion, that is why we are trying to sort this out.......I don't run 13.5 so all the rules are new to me.....
