FDOS returns to the high banks of SS Raceway for the final series race of 2009. Ronnie plans to treat the surface very similar to race 3, just keep your fingers crossed that the r' word doesn't interfere. There are some super tight battles in the points this year, 10.5 late model has the top 5 drivers all still battling and in reach for 1rst, 4wd modified has a close battle for 1rst between the top 3 drivers. The battles for 2nd place are also very tight in 2wd late model and 1/8 late model. Sunday start time will be 10am and we expect to follow a tight schedule just like at race 3.
SS has chosen the Ocala Bomber class as the track optional class. Rules will be the same as run for weekly races at New Red(1975 or older body. stock motor or 13.5 brushless, rubber tires, stock style 2WD 1/10 scale buggy chassis. no aerodynamic aids outside of what comes with the body). If you wish to run this class select the 'track optional' class on the online registration.
SS will have hotdogs and beverages available.
Please read up on the class rules as well as the general rules, some of rules have changed.

General Rules (http://floridadirtoval.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3979)
The Schedule:
SATURDAY
11:00 - pre-tech for sunday open
2:00 pm - club race - great for practice
SUNDAY
7:00 am gates open
7:30 sign up opens
8:00 track opens for practice
9:30 practice ends/registration ends
9:45 driver's meeting
10:00 green flag
As usual cars must go through technical inspection at the beginning of the day and after each qualifier. So don't hesitate to hop in the tech inspection line with your ride ready to practice that morning. AND remember it's ultimately your responsibility to follow the rules, just because something may get overlooked in one time in tech does not make it legal.
Please pre-register, it really helps get the races started on time. If you have been previous races this years and are using the same transponder in the same car, you do not need to provide the transponder # for the car, PLEASE just state "on file" in the blank provide.
