It works very well. Clayton sent me one for my nitro car months ago, but I only ran it once since it wasn't on the approved list. I'm sure everyone will be pleased w/this body. Most realistic looking LM on the market !

Jamie, The price is the same as Clayton charged.
The "Atomic" is the 1/8 body and the "Volunteer" is the 1/10 body. We do have window mask included in the bodies now and some new accessories for both bodies, including decking material, spoilers and headlights.
Thanks,
Mike Ottinger

Jamie,

The 8 scale bodies are still $55.00. The spoilers that Mike has are pre-made with side caps and are ready to bolt on. You do not have to cut them out like what comes on the back of the body. These are DLMRA legal. The original spoiler still comes on the body like it did before. He is just offering more options to make things a little more convienent.

Ovaloldtimer
July 4th, 2009, 9:36 PM
Clayton also sent a spoiler with the car, the wing and sidedams, you did have to put them together but they were made of thick poly and tuff as nails
DLMRA whose following those rules beside family?

rob,

will the new ownership and name of the body effect the dodc legality of the 1/10 body?

No, in fact I encouraged them to give it a name to help keep things from getting complicated.

Can't you just be nice, and say things that are productive... Why should anyone have to block anyone else? Can't we just be respectful, and say things that are worth saying; instead of spitting venomous things.

I am sure every now and then even you have something worthwhile to say. Why should we have to miss out on the good stuff you may contribute?

Just stop being a hater! Say something good for a change.

I cannot attest to the truth of things I am ignorant to what a C&M body came with.... Truth or not, you were not being very nice about it.. And in the opinion of many, making yourself out to be unattractive in your statements.

Awesome news about the C&M Bodies being legalized! They are one of my favorite bodies. I think that they will continue to get better and better. If I remember right, they have not been in the market for very long. So there is lots of room for future improvements.

So is anyone cutting out windsheilds or leave them intact? How about back window? I would think you need to get some air to head of motor? Are people putting the decking in them or run without it?

Sorry for the questions. For the money of a body, I don't want to do anything to it that does not need done. And I am a Noob to LM's.:o

Per my conversation w/Mr. Ottinger about a month ago, there is no plans as of now to go through w/a 9in body. Clayton had started to work on one before he sold the buisness, but I believe thats as far as it got. Plus w/having to wait 6months for approval from the powers to be ,im sure they feel its not feasable to do one @ this time. I think it would be a big seller, but what do I know;).

Walter

10" bodies are better than a 9" body. That is another inch of downforce for the latemodel and that is a good thing since we can't run a sidedam on the car.

We are testing a new electric body this week at Big Bills. It is the same body; it is out of .030 instead of .040. One of my drivers has been testing the .040 bodies the last few weeks and it is bad fast. The .040 bodies are a few ozs over the comp camaro. The .030 is going to take care of that. I'll let everyone know how it's going the next few weeks and when they will be out.
Thanks,

Hey Rob, I understand that the C&M 1/10th Late Model body is now legal and one of the DODC approved bodies. Will the list of approved bodies be updated to show that it is allowed? That might be helpful if we go to a track that uses the DODC approved body list, but doesn't have this thread handy.

Thanks!
