Bill asked me to post this series for him.
Summer Points Series @ Big Bill's
Best 3 out of 5
(One bonus point for attending all 5)
Dates are May 23rd, June 20th, July 18th, August 22nd and September 12th.
Electric classes will try to run 7 minute heats and mains......(may have to switch to 6 minutes)?
Nitro truck and 1/8LM's will run 8 minute heats. And Nitro sprint will only run 4 minutes due to hard to refuel.
All sprints and electric 1/10th LM's will run the 4 track series rules. Nitro trucks will allow the EDM bodies but all must run the 75cc fuel tank. (EDM's.....No Floppers)
An extra class we will run is Mini LM's, so bring the kids!
Entry fees are $15, $12, and $10
Classes are
Electric Sprint
Nitro Sprint
Nitro Truck/EDM
1/8 nitro LM
13.5 LM DODC
Mini LM's
See ya all there! Oh ya, there will be some good food there too.....LOL
Who is making the trip?

Why are you guys wanting to run electric classes 7 minutes?
Bill was just wanting to give ya more race time for the money. And there might be some strategy to running it hard the whole time or gearing differently. If everyone wants to just do 4-5 minutes, Im sure that would not be a problem.

I might try and make one ro two if possible. My labor day weekend thing was ruined as i have a relative getting married on a holiday weekend. I probably won't talk to him ever again. I'd probably just run sprint anyway unless i can sell somemore stuff and buy a new motor and batt:)

The rules that I have seen for the Western Illinois 4 track series on Roberts rc raceway website says a Novak 13.5 motor and either an SMC 3200mah lipo or any 6 cell Nimh 4200 battery. I sure hope that this is what will be allowed since I just purchased a new Novak 13.5 motor and also 2 SMC lipo's. Can we please have some rules clarified for both the 4 track series and also Bill's summer series.
Thanks,
Bob K.

Any Novak 13.5 and SMC 3200 or 4200/4600 NiMh battery is fine. We look forward to seeing all these 13.5 LM's on the track.

Man it seems like everytime someone comes to this racetrack to have a good time there is always rules rules rules rules and a few more rules that make it not able to enjoy yourself at the races. As a matter of fact Eugene Ryder was on this site afew months back saying that he was done with dirt oval because too many rules and then we have him on here making more rules.I just do not understand the thinking behind all the rule changes every week.It seems to me and other people that I have spoken with are sick of the rule changes every time we turn around. This is going to run everyone away from the track. And I thought this was supposed to be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I know of many nights that there were only a few supporters of this track As a matter of fact I could probably count them on 1 hand and these people are constant weekly racers. And do you know how hard it is to fuel an edm.The 50 lap rule is ridiculous when we can only run 75cc tank which will make about 40 laps at most because half of the time we are waiting on someone to get ready which is fine with me but do not make the 50 lap rule for trucks or edm since you suggested that it is difficult to refuel sprints.I do not think that. And hopefully someone else will agree.

Well first of all this is only for 5 races. This isn't for weekly racing, we will be running 4 minutes. And if enough guys want to keep the trucks/EDM's at 4 minutes like the nitro sprints, then I am sure Bill will be all for it. He was wanting to do something different for the 5 race series then the weekly races. Im sure if it rains tomorrow, Bill would be happy to get on here and explain. If everyone wants 4 minutes, let Bill know. Sorry if there is any confusion, weekly races will continue to be 4 minutes. See ya saturday.

5-6 minutes should be what the heat races are on a regular basis anyways. 4 minutes is just when the fun gets started! with all the technology in the batterys these days 6 minutes shouldn't be a problem. especialy if you don't run 10 laps before your heat takes the green flag!!!

I'm not hearing much about the late models. Is the 50 lap rule apply? Is there any issues going 50 laps on one tank? I'm running a Losi and the tank is 125cc I believe.Am I going to need a pit guy or is it possible to run the qualifiers and main on one tank? Thanks for the info.

If it wont go 50 laps, we will find someone to help you out. It's not that big of a deal. I ran all of warm-ups and 38 laps in the main and still had 1/4 tank of fuel when I was done even running a few extra laps at the end. Now 100 laps will be different Im sure.
We will help you no matter what.

Plenty of pits, and more than enough for a pit guy. You will need a table, chair and a light, extension cord and a chair. There is plenty of power too, you wont need to bring a generator for sure. Tires on the 1/8th LM's are mixed. 50/50 foams vs Losi rubbers that come with the L8ight. It has to be the Losi, Ofna rubber tires or foams. You are welcome, see you soon
