WE ARE NOT RACING OUTDOOR OVAL MAY 2ND (saturday) the weather (rain) has delayed the track building. but we are racing indoors on sat the 2nd hope to see u there . I will keep u posted on the outdoor oval track sorry & thanks Jeff G :checkeredflag::checkeredflag:

Jeff can you tell us what the driveline will be? How about teasing us with a few pic's? Is there a possibilty that we might race next weekend? :revs: :greenflag:

Donnie it is possible that we will race on may 9th. far as pics there isn't much to show just dirt. if it doesn't rain anymore I should be able to get all the dirt down by sunday. far as run line it is between 255- 275 track is wider than old track ,I will keep u posted thanks.

The rain has prevented much progress on the track. All the dirt seems to be there, but it is a clumpy wet blob of mudd that needs time to dry out some. The first nice day was Saturday. I don't think much has happened sice.

yep we have put a lot of new dirt in there it should make for a great racing surface.if we can get a break with the rain jeff can get it down.i dropped off a load there tonight and where the track is going to be was nothing but mud and standing water. lets hope for some sun and a good breeze so we can go racing... :greenflag::whiteflag::checkeredflag:

Got the track all layed out all the dirt is down and tilled just needs draged and rolled
were where hoping to a final drag on it tonight but mother nature hit us in the face again

keep watching here when we get it close we will put a shout out for you guys to come and start a groove in this thing .the sooner the better

the track is 90% done looks good, but the rain wednesday did delay me from dragging it out . i was able to walk on it today. so i will say this the track will be open sat if no more rain it could be muddy in the infield , but it will not be 100% this will be a rock picking, test & tune , practice, track raking, etc day anybody that wants to help come down and help thanks & bring your cars IT WILL OPEN AT 1200PM jeff g.:checkeredflag::checkeredflag:

track looks good & we hope the rain stays away we will run it in sat morning . there is some mud in the infield but ok . track will be rough ( a little wavy) & there is no pipe down. hope to see u there far as Ron goes u can come down sun it will just help the track ,but this will not be a reg thing thanks c u at the track jeff g:checkeredflag::checkeredflag:

Once the track settles it will be awesome. Jeff still has plenty of work to do to finish her up. But I realy like the size of it and the width in the turns. Three wide coming out is always cool. Thanks Jeff for your supporting RC racing. Billy Stevenson has a 8th sprint and so do I. Now who is gonna be next. Three makes a heat? Hoping to get mine together for next Saturday and trade some paint with Billy and ??? ;)

Thanks...No. Mark we didnt get to try them yet. I might get mine together before next Saturday. I havent received my tracking number from Nitro House yet. I should hear something tomorrow. Billy had his at the track working on getting it put together. Wow it is way cool. The tires that come with car are the spec tire at this track. I havent checked to see how many choices they offer for this hot rod. I think we will need a different tread design for up front. Billy and I will be posting soon as we get some track time with these monsters. :thumbsup: :revs: :greenflag:

hey the track will be open for practice thursday at 5:30 pm . and we will be racing on sat may 23rd . the track will open at 11:00am start qualifing at 2 pm this will let us c how long it will take us to run the program . so the start time could change in the future see u at the track. thanks all u guys for helping on the track..jeff g:checkeredflag::checkeredflag:

Getting better every minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some more small rocks that need to be raked out of the turns, but the straits are nice and tacky. Bring the bug spray Saturday.:thumbsup:

yes bring gallons of bug spray dont cry if u don't. there will be black pipe on the inside until the grass grows there . after the first cut we will remove the pipe. thanks for the help yesterday. c u at the track

I would like to offer a great thanks to track owner Jeff G. on taking the track to another level. This track was great dry or wet. During qualifying he watered the track and it was great. We let it dry later in the day and it was great.

As the track goes thru changes it is only getting better. Thanks again Jeff for giving us a great place to race.


I also want to thank everyone that helped me yesterday with setup as well as getting the car on the track.

Lastly I thank everyone for the great racing yesterday.

I had a blast.

See ya all in a couple of weeks. Good luck to all the CBRCR boys on your trip to the ONS race.

We had 7 latemodels and 6 EDMs (truck based). Track was in great shape. Hope to see more cars this sat.

This is a link to a friends backyard dirt oval in Kenton.The walls aren't that high, just enough to keep cars on the track. A post hole awger and some 12 inch rips of 1/4 in inch glossy 1 sided ply. This all could go up in a day with some help. I have a table saw.
