Yesterday wrapped up the Spring Points Series at Tea's Raceway (http://www.teashobbyshop.com/) in Rochester, MN. After racing most of the indoor season at Brinks Speedway (http://www.brinksspeedway.com/index2.html), I was able to finish by racing at 5 out of the 6 races for the Spring Series.

My direct drive JRC Stock EDM has been running very well the past few weeks, but after talking to Mike last week I decided to try a new set-up on my car and see how it would work. THANKS for the set-up Mike!!! It worked very well...I was losing time on corner entry...but after the set-up changes...I was killing the competition in the corners! I was able to TQ and then go on to take the win, which gave me 1st place for the six week series! :trophy:

In Stock Sprint I had TQ'ed and won my first 4 A-Mains with my JRC Lightning, so I decided to see what the view was like from inside the car. I added an in-car camera for the first two heats of the day, but the added weight made the car VERY top heavy and really took away the handling. For the 3rd round of qualifying and the A-Main, I removed the camera. I went on to qualify 3rd for the main...and then took the A-Main win by a lap...making it my 5th win out of 5 starts in the class, and giving me my second 1st place finish in the Spring Series. :trophy:

My final class of the day was Mod EDM. Scott Murphy who had been running in Stock EDM decided to try Mod EDM yesterday and we took turns winning the heat races, with Scott taking the top qualifying spot just ahead of my gearbox JRC EDM. The main didn't go so good and the race that Scott & I had looked forward to never happened. I ended up finishing in 3rd place, which was good enough to give me my third 1st place finish of the six week Spring Points Series! :trophy:

Thank-you Mike Jeffery for everything that you do for me and for the rest of Team JRC. I am very honored to be part of the teamand look forward to trying some of the new stuff that Mike has been working on...and doing my part in representing Team JRC in the Midwest!

Curt, you did a fine job of representing JRC, class act and really fast cars, it's a pleasure to race with you, just need to get mine a little faster and maybe we can have a closer battle for the win.

Congratulations.
