Here's a quick CAD 'sketch' of our planned track layout. The driver's stand will be on the bottom of the CAD view. The 'pit lane' on the right side is to allow 'graceful' entries and exits from the racing line for nitro and during electric open practice, etc.
I didn't bother with a side view but banking will be minimal. There will be a uniform 8" rise from the inside boundry to the outside wall all the way around the track (approx 3 degrees).
I asked around and couldn't find a consensus on how track length was measured. I measured around what the expected 'race line' might be (as apposed to the middle of the track like the drawing) and it only made a 2-3 foot difference...it was actually slightly longer
We should be moving dirt late Sunday night or Monday.......
P.S. The drawing 'clears up' when you maximize the view window.
