To be clear, there will NOT be any nitro classes for the regular Wednesday night schdule. However, I have castor oil in my blood and have convinced Scott to consider a seperate night for nitro.

At this point, the guess is it would be Thrusday nights....but we'll double check the schedules at other nearby tracks so as not to conflict. This could change.

I took a stab at possible classes.....we're just trying to see if enough folks are interested to warrant opening for an extra night. When possible, we would be using DODC rules for given classes.

O yea, NITRO!!! Why not have a Nitro Gas Truck Class? Since everybody can find them cheap and they would also be legal for WCIPS. And do a Bomber class. ONS (Outlaw Nitro Series) rules, thus it would be legal for that series also? Just trying to open up other options for classes that are already ran around this area. Hardly any DODC Nitro around here.

You can count me in for sure:
-Gas Truck
-Bomber

What does everybody thinking about running the Gas Truck and ONS Bomber Classes? By the poll, it looks like the 1/8 Late Model class looks to be dominate. And there would be a bigger car count for the Trucks insted of the DODC cars. Since you can buy a Truck for less than $300 RTR and be competive while youll be paying $300 for a USED DODC roller.

I say, we run WCIPS legal Gas Truck, ONS Bombers and ONS 1/8 Nitro Late Models. Thus every car will be legal for a racing series. Or go the NSCS way with Nitro Truck EDM and 1/8 Nitro Late Models. Either way i think its a win-win situation. But i think the ONS way will be better since there is no more NSCS races around here.

Lets still up some conversations for us NITRO Lovers!!!

I've started a discussion on the general gas racing thread about extended length main events (longer than 4 minutes).

Smac Trac WILL have a functional pit lane. Although I can't promise that there will be time in the schedule to run a long main at all the club races, I suggest you keep the possiblity in mind when building your car (i.e. set it up with easy acess to glow plug and fuel tank for pit stops).

I know this is possible with both 2WD and 4WD 1/10 Late Modes as well as 1/8 Late Models. I don't happen to own a nitro sprinter or EDM but from the pictures I've seen, I have to imagine it could be made to work with them too. Can anyone offer any insight on this?

I wondered who would be the first one to go there. :)
