The track has so much bite , look at the tractor with traction roll - anybody have a wing that might fit on that roof to help keep it planted

outside wall is 1/2 plywood. there is no inside barrier, just a dirt burm and grass. this should cut dowwn on the wrecks, chunked left front tires, and broken suspension parts. i hate inside retaining walls.

Amen to the GRASS inside barrier Kippy. It will be easy to see your car in the bottom groove and won't hurt the car getting in the grass.

Can't wait to make the first trip up. Any ideas as to what classes you'll run? I know there's a lot of 1/10 Losi Sliders locally as well as 1/18th cars....

wayne, the run line is about 235'. sean, me and frenchie have to get together and work on a schedule and classes. i will run any class as long as there are enough entered. dodc rules will apply but ther will be non dodc classes as well. nitro trucks will be allowed to run a truck body or 7" wide edm bodies. there will also be a open mod edm electric class that you can run any brushless or brushed motor and lipos or nimh batteries. other classes are nitro edm, nitro latemodel, nitro sprint, limited nitro sprint, limited nitro latemodel. dodc 13.5 edm, dodc 13.5 latemodel, dodc 13.5 sprint, stock 1/10 sliders, 1/18 sliders and latemodels and whatever else we can manage to fit in. man, it seems like there are to many classes!! we will just have to see what happens and take it as it comes. depending on weather and how everything else goes will determine when we get started. im sure we will have a few practices before everything is in place.

Hey Kippy,

On the Trucks w/ EDM bodies can we run stock production bodies such as CDK, CW, etc? I know you mentioned the 7" wide thing but most production (ie. molded roof) bodies are a bit wider. I think my CDK EDM body is like 7-7/8" wide.

Man is it spring yet!?!

As for Scheduling I know OTR & ICH will be racing Oval on Saturday's and Saturday Nights. We plan to avoid Sundays all together. Are you still thinking about one weeknight and Sundays?

While i was digging on kipps property laying down the ground work for the track i ran into a vein of clay - it is rather nice stuff - not to speak for kipp but i think it will make a very nice surface to race on - some of the days he had practice last year the track was very fast - i think it will only get better the longer we run on it - its not a loose track - its going to be great - and kipp is dedicated to it 100% - he was out there every day for hours making things right it is a labor of love - and he does love his edm - so you can bet on an awesome season - again i am not speaking for kipp i'm shure he will follow up with more info

I had the opportunity to see the foundation of the track before the clay that was brought in and the SIZE of the track is exciting. It's over 200' driveline (235'???) And it's big for this area. Look for many racing grooves and some serious speeds.

the snow melted off the track last week and i noticed it settled down about 3". you can see the bottom of the fence all the way around. i will be sifting and adding clay as soon as the weather breaks. it will be nice, i will make sure of that. i have a lot of good people helping me out and i am gratefull for that. its a lot of work. :checkeredflag:

here is what my suite at kippy's will look like when it is completed.....minus the hideous Yankees gear of course. It will also have a private balcony/drivers stand. It will be fully staffed. I hired some dude from Elite Model something or other to staff it. He mentioned something about some chicks with a secret or something.....all I care is they know how to make a good jack and coke.

I lost a clutch on the last run with my truck, literally
I've had many clutch bearings and e-clips on the gt let loose, but this time somehow lost the entire MIP clutch setup even though the inner bearing and clutch bell were still in place.

i'm asuming your running am threaded shaft motor with the gt clutch setup. try a new clutch nut. it my be bent alittle, or at the least the slot your clutch clip snaps into is most likely worn which is why it loosing the clip. if the threaded shaft is bent your going to continue to blow out bearings. hope this is a help.

well, the track got a lot of laps put on it this past holiday weekend. saturday it was loose, sunday it was much better, by monday it had a lot of grip and was real racey. lots passing lanes. here is a video from sundays open practice. my wife had a good video going until she fell at the end!!
