When are you going to change the Avatar? I was proud of that car and it hates to a shelf queen.

LMAO at these until I fell off my bench in the garage, man did that leave a mark.

Doug, I can be bought and remember guys this is the year of change.

I will make one prediction.... Dr Phil will ride on the dark side in the Chilli Bowl Jr come Hell or High Water. Now 0 F temps may change his mind but the Mugen has a big bullet in the chamber.

There is one dream, Ronnie Richardson coming through the alpha bits in the Dr Phil MUGEN special, crossed up coming out of #4 with Doug and Jeff hot on his heels with 40 feet to go and ....

Someone else can finsh this story in their own words...

Later guys and travel safe!

GO SOONERS!!!!! Rock N Roll Forever!!! Hoo Yah!!:checkeredflag::beer::checkeredflag:;)

I'm not going to make any predictions on the race finishes. Seems like every time I have, something really strange has happened that affected the outcome of the race. Like last year when Nathan got up on the burm and rolled his car while leading the race and not being able to recover. And then there was the King of the Wings race when Billy Fisher got up over the burm and let Nathan get by for the win. The only prediction I'm going to make for the races is that everyone has fun, no matter how they finish.

Less than a week now.......I'm really looking forward to seeing all my dirt oval friends that I haven't seen in a few months now. I enjoyed the pit talks with Dr Phil at Joplin, been seeing most of the Tulsa group at the Creek playing on the carpet. Haven't seen Doug or the rest of the Kansas group or any of the MO group since Joplin.

I guess I'll go out on a limb and make a couple of predictions.

Nitro sprint - Mr I only race once a year Junior Jenkins
L8 Model - Mr I'm due for a win Greg Bruner
Nitro EDM - My hero Super Sonny Nave
Elec. Sprint - Mr I know my A,B,C's Heinz Meyer
Elec Trk. - Mr I'm getting too old for this Sh*t Terry Downing

I'm just hoping to make the B-main in Lm. If I get the setup dialed in I think I can make it. There's gonna be a lot of traffic in each qual for sure.

It's just that some of us are a bit more 'quietly' pumped up then others!!!!!

AND, some of us are a bit more gutsy then others - consider my position for a moment! :)

I've run 1/8th Late Model on a BIG outside oval in KS - that's the extent of my LM experience!

So, for this event I've got a shiney new L8ight - never been fired and proably WON'T be 'til I get to Tulsa MID DAY WEDNESDAY - not sure that I'm going to be practicing much or any at all!

BUT, I've got a HUGE amount of confidence in the advice that Doug G has given me for the last MONTH or so (I'm a pathetically SLOW builder!) and hopefully some form of skillz will come forward at some point in the event!

Sooooo, at any rate - I'd first like to apologize to everyone and anyone who is unlucky enough to get into a heat with me! This will be my FIRST time on 'spec' tires so I'm sure it will be INTERESTING! BUT, if you're carrying a few extra dollars, I'm sure Doug or any of the Losi guys can be bribed to spend a bit more time with me to get this puppy dialed IN!

Seriously, I'm really looking forward to this event! BUT, I plan to win a few 'style points' with my shiney new Tony Stewart Bass Pro/Old Spice replica body!!!!!!! It's BRIGHT, and I think even my OLD eyes can see it!

Soooooo, my prediction is that I WILL NOT be in the A and will be available to take pictures for the article for RC Driver!!!!!!!!!!! And, I plan to have a BUNCH of fun and meet a buncha' new folks! I'll be the old man with the camera and the confused look - hard to miss!

Another new paint job;).

Welcome to the L8M class. Not to Hyjack a thread but a few of us are thinking about doing a little pavement racing with these in Lawrence KS later this year. Are you, and ANYONE ELSE, interested?

NSCS rules apply, The winner of thCBJ has to start 1 lap down to the field.LOL

More later and I'll start a thread of its own.

Thanks and Good Luck to all at the CBJ. This is the year for surprises.

Remember, This IS the year dreams come true...

Doug, If I beat you , I will gladly break in my own motors for next year.;).. Me beat the Wizard...LMFAO loudly and rolling on the floor until I cry......:D;)

Greetings Phil!!!!!!! Glad to be a part of the L8ight model bunch - I had a Mayhem converted that I ran at Timberline a few times but like the fact that there's full parts availability for the Losi! With that said, there's NOT enough parts in the world for me to consider running one of these on asphalt! I love the crossed up realism of these cars on dirt!!!!! There's going to be lots of gas dirt oval opportunities at Timberline in Osawatomie this summer!

Jim Harden

Hay JIM! Look at how far you've come in a year! Last year you were a spectator - this year a compeitor!

I'm a bit curious to see what Tony's role will be this year - all indications are that he's not going to drive and Janice and I are a bit grumpy about this new found maturity since he's now the proud owner of ANOTHER team! BUT, I'm sure the Custom Works guys will have a car for him if he's inclined to drive! BUT, having seen him wheel at the USOWC he's ALWAYS welcome to drive anything I own!

So, got the body yesterday so I'm finishing up details this weekend - looking forward to seeing everyone as early as I can get there Wednesday!

Say, did we miss this up this year, but the good thing is Dr Phil had a great motor with a ton of power, thanks to Doug G and Lee Morrison. Just couldn't get it to the ground but I did improve from a 7.1XX qualifyer to a best lap of 5.800 x 3 in the last round and won the heat. Talk about a high for an old fay man...I'm still smilin'

I did accomplish my goal of finishing everything I started without breaking the bank.

Later
