Battery Comparison '07 to '08

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the race last year, but can anyone remember any battery issues last year? (explosions, fires or other meltdowns)
Were there any issues this year?

I don't think there were any battery issues. Of coarse we were all using lipos. All the batteries we checked for temp and voltage during all the qualifers and mains.

Now if you get into the motor/esc overload problem that was a different situation. I believe that the powers that be are looking into the motor problem.
