iam trying to get as close as my terminator gearing for this track as possible and i cant. the gears would have to be huge. im running a 4.40 finale ratio on my term and i think a good starting point for the dynottech would be there.

any ideas ?

hey guys, im still having a wicked hard time gettingthe correct gering. with the way the car is made getting a spur and pinion combo that works and not having the motor over heat seems to be posing a problem.

rite now im running 115/60 with a tire size that is about 2.55 + or - . im running 64 pitch gears,a novak 13.5 and temps are getting close to 160 and the car isnt as fast speed wise as a gearbox car.

io need some help with this one.

Call Chad at Dynotech. He should be able to tell you where to start.

Geo, if that thing is ratio'd out at a 2.50. Then you need to be at a 2.40 tire, 110/62 to get a final ratio of 4.44. 63 pinion puts you @ 4.37 final ratio.

rj, i know but im close to over heating now at 115/60.

Checked with a few guys and they said 4.40 is close to what you should be at.

The guys at the open wheel were at 3.75 and that was a much longer track?

Not sure if this helps?

Is the car to locked down to the track? Maybe loosen up the car, higher corner speed would be easier on the motor?
