I've had one of these tools for a few years now and every time someone sees it they ask if it is for sell. Well I have decided to go ahead and make some to sell. This tool makes the task of removing the pins really easy and safe for the dogbone. No more finding a hole in the table and beating on the pin with a pair of pliers. The price will be $29.95 but I will be selling them at the Open Wheel for $25.00. I only made limited quantities so if you are planning on picking one up please pm me so I make sure I have enough. If I need to make more I can get them done before I leave on Monday.

I could make one for the 1/8 scales. The pins are just dowel pins that you could get thru mcmaster carr.

Hey Dustin, Why would one need to take the pin out of a dog bone? I've never run across a situation where I had to do that? Give me a scenario. I need an excuse to order one of these tools. Also are they available through hobby shops that deal with hyperdrive? By the way, congratulations on the birth of your second child.

Oval,
The tool was designed for guys that remove the steel pin from the outdrive end of the dogbone to replace it with a pin cushion or weed eater string. Usually stock/spec racers that are running aluminum outdrives in the tranny.
I never thought about Alans idea but it should work great for that too....and I just threw some away that had that problem.

You will find alot of guys run weed eater string in the dogbones instead of the metal pin so they don't wear the aluminum outdrives that all the gearbox cars have.plus everybody loves to get of rotating mass ;)

Part number is GFR1058 $29.95 retail. The new ones look even batter than the originals. We switched to aluminum that have been black anodized instead to the original steel ones. I will get some pics of the new ones tonight.
Barry has them in stock and I know Redneck will have them soon.
