since it isnt exactly clearly written in the rules can the 2wd latemodels be 4wd chassis with the 2 front cvds removed.?

Don't see why not. If direct drive is legal, why not a home made conversion to 2wd? Not saying it's legal. Just saying it atleast has a couple of more gears to it than direct drive.

You would be at a big disadvantage with it. If that's all you could afford to race though I don't see why it wouldn't be legal.

My thinking is it would be loose. Everything I have read about setups says that reducing front kickup helps the car turn better. Buggies and the CW cars have around 25 degrees where as the TC's have less than 5. The biggest down side I see is the wheelbase difference A TC3 is about 260mm or about 10.25" thats a full 1.25" less than the DODC rules max and a 1/2" less than a B4. I think if someone got creative with that part of the car they could take advatage of the lower C.G of the TC3 drivetrain. They are also about 1.375 narrower but I don't think that is as big a problem as the wheelbase is.
