Anyone have a good starting rollout for the DODC 13.5 and 3200 lipo for the us open wheel race at C&S indoor clay oval track?

For esc's I would go with the LRP Sphere TC, I have also heard good things about the new Tekin but haven't had one in my hands to try yet.

Dont tell me nobody has tried the losi 13.5 and a SMC 3200 lipo which should be the same as the DODC spec stuff. Just trying to make sure I have the right spurr in my DD sprint, its not easy to change that bugger.thats funny, ahh they aren't avail yet

If you have ever looked, there aren't that many electric racers weekly at C&S. Plus if you have ever been to the OW you will soon learn that you will have all the time in the world needed to do everything to your car twice between chances to race.

He should not even be allowed to touch the motors!! If thats the case this rule package will never work because like you said the better motors will be kept for team drivers and thats BS if what you say is true. My question is this, are the motors coming from the mfg. to you Rob and then being distributed? or Is Todd going through all the motors? if thats the case how can you garruntee that joe shmo racer is getting the same motor that a Putnam team member will recieve? Just an honest question. Now is the time to fix a potentail problem.

I don't know who has them. I'm sure as soon as whoever is distributing them gets them they will be sent out though. I do think that there cutting it kinda close though to the race.

Yes guys that is exactly what we are doing!!!! Our entire goal here was to go through all of this trouble and effort and then do everything in my power to make sure Todd has an advantage over guys running our own cars, im just stupid like that. :o We have gone the extra mile to make sure we screw this up right from the very beginning! Are you kidding guys?

Motors are in the country now and are on their way to us. They will be given out at the race by random pick along with the batteries. We had hoped they would be here in time to offer to send them ahead but that is not going to happen.

Rob,

Any idea which day the stuff will be available at the Open Wheel? I'm assuming Thursday or so, but it would be nice if we could get them earlier in the week.

Thanks

Wow! I've heard the "team guys always get the best batts from their sponsors" drama before, but now every DODC 13.5 motor will be gone through for the team guys first as well.......LOL Thats awesome! Come on people where do you come up with this stuff ?!?!?!?!

Rob - I personally think handing out the DODC motors at the race is the best way, even though you were considering sending them out.

Must have got slowed down by "pirates". Good thing they got here without having to pay ransom money.

I trust Rob 100% to make sure the racing is fair. I am sure he wont let anyone touch the batts or motors before they go directly to racers.Besides I dont expect a big differance between each lipo and brushless motor in the lots like it was back in the nicad/nimh spec and handout/spec motors, that spec racing was a failure. This should be fun and give us spec racing like never seen before in RC history, Thanks again Rob, your doing the right thing! Dont let them get u down!Yes guys that is exactly what we are doing!!!! Gentlemen,

I would like to take this opportunity to dispel some additional rumors.

1) I was not the 2nd shooter at Kennedy's assassination.

2) I have no knowledge of what actually is within the confines of Area 51.

3) My voice was never erased from any of the Watergate tapes.

4) I did not perform the drive-by on Big E Smalls or Tupac.

Respectfully,

DB Coop.... I mean Todd Putnam

C'mon, the only thing interesting in Area 51 other than experimental aircraft that the Govn't doesnt want us to see is Jimmy Hoffas body.

Paul,

We have won the EDM Stock class (now 13.5) at the US Open Wheel Champs for something like 8-9 years in a row, dating back to when the race was still held at Kranzel's.

All of these races were hand-out motor races as well - I guess the promoters must have made sure that the Putnam guys just got "the best motors" by for the past 10 years...LOL

That's one long conspiracy!
