View Full Version : Havoc SC Chassis Available

The new Havoc SC chassis will be available on Tuesday November 11th. The kit price will be $62. Included in the kit will be the chassis plate, front shock tower, battery strap, and battery standoff kit. This price is only good through Barry Hill @ Hyperdrive 931-364-7673. Also this price will only be good until December 5th. This should allow anyone who has a current car ample time to get the updated kit.

Changing the cars over to the stand up front shocks was a decision we as a team made. We do feel that with the shocks in the new position will provide more stability on corner entry, without loosing any of the turning. With changing the shocks over it will require to drill new holes in the front of the a arms. These holes should be place in between the current mounting position and the outer hinge pin. We are going to be machining new front arms for those who prefer to just purchase them. The new arms should be available in about 2 weeks.

Thanks for everyones patience while we worked through the change over. I know everyone has been antsy to get the new cars and now the wait is down to a few days.

Do we use all of the parts from the CW cage now?

Ya the CW cage will work now. The front and back both will still need to be cut a little. I will post better pics of it tomorrow.

Are there any other parts to buy besides this kit to complete an upgrade? I'm guessing a new cage kit and hood is needed. What hood is recommended for loose dirt at Allens'. Does it really matter?

Anything else?

All you need is cage sides. As for hoods, our hoods will work or any of the standard hoods from CW or Dynotech would be fine.

Well, I've got to hand it to you guys. Six weeks after the new rules were posted and i have a new DODC legal chassis in my hands. I've got to tip the hat to everyone at GFRP/Hyperdrive, Dustin, Barry and everyone else behind the scenes that made this all happen so quickly. Nice work you guys!!!!

Leave it to Beaver to come up with that...

The battery mounting system is the question, wiseguys :D

BTW: Sonny, pulled my new Losi Late model out and can't get it to bind. Any ideas. I got my other one to bind and my slider to bind, so I have the right methods. Are you coming to Allen's on Sunday. Maybe you can take a look then for me. Thanks

Jim, you asked for it with that open-ended question. LOL Why didn't you just ask ....

How do you install the battery mounting parts?

We are going to have 2 mounting positions available with the new arms. From the outside in the measurements would be .375" and .92"

I am putting together my new narrow kit. I was wondering what i need to cut the center cage rods to? Also what kind of shock hole locations would be best to run for foams and buggy shocks? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
mike

Hey Nick,

The cars are available. We just don't have every screw, spacer, and other odds and ends together for them. All of the main pieces are ready though. With the rules change, Open Wheel, Holiday's and my wife having a baby I haven't had time to get all of the lists together for Barry. You can call Barry and he can give you pricing on everything. His number is 931-364-7673

Thanks
