Mr. Dirt RC Series

Mission

To obtain a fun, competitive racing environment through implementing a simple body of rules that are racer friendly and cost effective.

The Focus of this series shall be on Eastern Dirt Modified racing (EDM). The series will try when ever possible to welcome auxiliary classes governed by other bodies. In example are the JRC Sprintcar Series and The DODC Limited Latemodels.

Race Format

The race format will set ahead of time so that racers know exactly what to expect of the race regardless of track size and regular weekly programs. Please see the schedule to get an idea of tracks and race lengths. All series races will use the same set of “house” Transponders (personal transponders are welcomed and encouraged), same AMBrc Decoder, the same laptop computer and BBKRC eco Software as provided by the series directors. All series races will also be conducted by the series appointed Race Director.

It will be the responsibility of the individual track facilities to provide for the appropriate scoring loop antenna wire to be buried under the track surface as well as coaxial cable to connect the AMBrc Decoder to the loop.

Marshalling Duties are the responsibility of each driver. After a race is completed the drivers listed as 1 – 4 will marshal the following race. A racer that is in a bump-up position will not be required to marshal. In this case the next racer from the list will marshal. If a racer is for any reason unable to fulfill the marshalling position, It is still that racers responsibility to provide a stand in. If a racers marshalling position is not covered by the time the next race is ready to start, that racer will have their fastest qualifying time disqualified. A station will be provided for the racers car and radio to be placed while marshalling duties are being carried out.

During all Qualifiers and mains a car that misses the scoring loop, misses that lap. Missed laps will not be put back in at the end of the race.

The Class run order will be Open Modified – Small Block – Big Block. Auxiliary Classes may precede, follow or be in between the series classes to allow drivers racing in two classes to prepare.

Racers that compete in at least 7 events are eligible for class sponsored car drawings. Each event will have door prizes. A trophy or similar prize will be presented to points leaders.

Qualifier Round 1 – Single Car Time Trials
Each competitor gets three laps. Time of the three laps added together is your time which is then used to seed the following two rounds of qualifing heat races.

Qualifier Rounds 2 and 3 – Heat Races
4 minute Heat Races. 5 car maximum. Fast Time Qualifies your position into the Mains.

Mains
A Main will be 100 Laps for smaller tracks and 75 Laps for larger tracks.
5 Cars from qualifiers plus one bump-up.
Lower Mains will be 4 minutes.
