Yes, I bought all these teams with the money I made based on some inside Wall Street info I rec'd from Martha Stewart prior to it crashing.

Also, I wanted to post this before the R/C Police come and arrest me.

Did you also know that I was the persona portrayed in Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody?

Wow! We have a 5 way tie so far, each with (4) correct picks:

-Solly
-Ovalman
-Markny
-glgraphix
-kf23

Also, there are 11 more still in the running, based on the race results this weekend, who each had (3) correct picks:

-hotshoe8t
-jeffvinyltrix
-Todd Putnam
-teamrc
-waitaminute
-almxup
-shannzilla
-tqcells
-briand
-rj14

Breckenridge: I loved your post, but we need to talk...With Balough winning, you must have picked Blaney to drop out, because if he ever finishes again, he will win.

Oh, and Ronnie Johnson is driving Bobby Hearn's TEO house car, (and yes Solly, I did have inside info on that a long time ago) and that thing is awesome. He had it too tight for time trials, but still laid down a serious lap considering how bad it pushed into 1.

This is the most beautiful dirt mod ever built...as in ever built, including "Cock Diesel" and "Cock Diesel 2," which were both Bobby's creations as well- even including the Teo Stealth Dirt/Asphalt ride he built for Bryan Goewey.

Pictures do not do this thing justice. An absolute beautiful piece of equipment.

Decker won 358 race. Not sure what place Vic Coffey finished, but was dqed for illegal heads.("That thing gotta HEMI?")

this is surprising. last time i saw him he was looking a little fat

the Legend
October 12th, 2008, 1:10 AM
We find it a little surprising, also. But Kevin did turn down a hot dog 2 hours before the race, thinking the quarter we taped to the right rear body panel would be good enough!

The car was 30 lbs HEAVY on Inspection day with more fuel in it.

Todd Putnam
October 12th, 2008, 1:18 PM
Fuel is 7 lbs. a gallon, so if he finished with 5 gallons less than what he scaled with it would make him too light.

I told Kevin last year to make sure the car makes weight with an empty fuel cell, as an extra 20-30 pounds won't hurt you...especially at the mile...but if you are light it will KILL you.

At least he didn't run out of fuel this year-one hurdle cleared!

For all who didn't get to see it, Kevin was all over the 2nd place car, actually passed him for 2nd at one point only to get passed back when he got boxed in with lapped traffic.

Kevin was all over 2nd like a fat kid on cake - he did an EXCELLENT job...  :revs:

it was the best action going for the sportsman div, Ridley was able to hug the inside wall.i think the crate motor is lacking a bit of power for the miles

the Legend
October 12th, 2008, 5:17 PM
If the crate had more power, they would be 358's. Saturday AM practice the 358's were not much quicker than the Sportsman.

TP, the car has never had a problem with weight before. It even made weight the night at the LOL,when he finished 4th,with pieces missing.
And I don't recall seeing the winner going to the scales.

Clarification:
Vic was running a Mopar in 358 time trials, and later the drain plug fell out. He started the 358 race with a Chevy motor, finished 2nd and was dqed for an illegal head. Tech took over 3 hours.

I heard there was a problem in tech with the 20x Sportman car. Any imfo on this matter?

The main problem in tech was how long it took before anyone would tech them.(3 hours)
The 17k of Reakes possible illegal carb spacer. The 55 of Hulsizer's carb spacer was cut,but was cut square, therefore deemed legal. The 20x was 2 lbs. light(we still can't figure that one)and may possibly be fined,or be paid half of 3rd place $. The 0 of Rudolph, we didn't stick around to hear of any problems in tech.
As far as black eyes, the Friesen #52 crew and the McAuliffe #23 crew had some words.

After the dust settled Sunday, we had a two-way tie...WITHIN THE SAME FAMILY!

Mark Failing and Keith Failing both had (5) correct picks going into Sunday, but neither picked the Big Block Winner. Mark picked Decker (24th), and Keith picked Brachman (36th).

I used the finishing position of their respective Big Block picks as a tie-breaker to determine the winner- which is Mark Failing!

Congratulations to Mark Failing for winning the 2008 Putnam Propulsion Super Dirt Week Contest. Give us a call M-F, 9-5 EST to claim your prize...:beer:
