With this rear tower you can take the stock front shocks from an RC10GT and put them on the back to lower the entire chassis in conjunction with the front shock tower. I will have to look at home tonight to see which holes I am in with 1.02 threaded shocks but I think I am in the middle set. I know the .89s work in the bottom row of holes. Then for body mounts there is a row of holes to accomodate the stock GT body mounts which work well with EDM bodies. I look forward to getting a set for myself since they are lighter than the alum versions.
Great work Chad.

Can't they be made from a material not as brittle. RC parts prices like this slow the growth of the sport.. IMO. The weight difference is not gonna make you any faster... We need strong durable parts that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Thing is Donnie, these towers are the same size as your 1/8 buggy towers due to the tuning options so Chad has quite a bit of carbon fiber used in making them.
While they may seem pricey if you look at the overall picture, RC10GT RTR, edm body, front and rear towers plus one pair of .71 or .89 shocks and you are race ready with a car that is competitive with any other NSCS legal edm for a much smaller overall investment compared to other purpose built kits. Alum works on shorter tracks but on the bigger tracks weight is always better to have down low.

We price our products to what they cost to manufacturer.
These towers start life as a 4 X 7 piece of 3.5mm uni-direction quasi weave carbonfiber , if it was 4 X 14 (two times in lenght) we could make a complete chassis for most any car(price $75.00-$95.00).
95% of aftermarket towers are made out of 2.5mm or less carbon fiber, we made these out of thicker material so that they would last the racer longer, and not have to by two of them at $29.00 each.
We are trying to save the racers money and time by making a better and stronger product.
If thinner material would be more appreciated, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Chad Smith

I rarely see carbon fiber shock towers broken and with 3.5mm carbon on a rear tower, it should last forever!
Carbon fiber is very expensive and very, very abrasive on tooling but it is what the serious racer wants and I think Dynotech represents what the serious racer wants very well. Sure it wont appeal to everyone but there are a bunch of us out here that love having the option to buy trick parts like these. Thanks Dynotech!
Besides the price of the carbon fiber, there are 58 drilled holes (as much or more than a chassis plate), a nice contour cut on the part itself along with a cuttout in the middle (more wear and tear and process time but worth it!). Very trick tower that should last forever.

what size shocks can you run with this shock tower?

.89s, 1.02s, 1.18s etc. What most guys did was take the stock shocks off the front of the RC10GT and put them on the back. Then just got a pair of .71s or .89s to put on the front. Two towers but just one pair of shocks.
