Now available is a Lipo tray for the Delta and the Boomerang.
Tray is based off of a MAX amp 5000 lipo.
It is a direct replacement for the NiMh that comes standard in the cars.
Price is $20.00 each.
If you purchase this tray it is my suggestion to heat shrink the battery in to the tray and eliminate the battery strap that you use with other tray.
Thank you for your support.

With ROAR and many tracks now requiring LiPo Sacks or other charging container, permanent mounting of LiPos in cars—as much as I like them—aren't totally realistic. Any other suggestions? Also are MaxAmps LiPos legal anywhere yet? Last I had heard, they were not hard cased and/or ROAR approved for any racing.
Just asking... ;)

Chad,
I'm not familiar with the Max Amps batteries. How about the Track Power 4900, or the Orion 4800? Any idea of how they fit?
thanks,
Curt

When I mentioned heat shrinking them to the tray, I ment so that you can use the two screws in the bottom of the tray to mount and unmount the tray in the car for charging purposes.
Not being a lipo guy I know NOTHING about lipos and their legality in racing.
Not sure hoe any other battery would fit in this tray.
I will extend this offer, If you'd like a tray spacific to your lipo, send it to me and I'll make a tray for it for the same $20.00 cost, shipping not included either way.
Let me know.

The MaxAmps web site states that they are Pending Roar Approval but they do have hard case lipo's that are weighted as well. Here is the link. http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-5000SS-74.htm
