Hey guys I've had a lot of questions as to when the car kits will be available. I'm going to answer this the best I know how at this moment. Most of the delrin parts are now at Barry's. All of the aluminum pieces are at the anodizing shop. All of the other pieces are at Barry's as well. The instruction manual is about 90% complete. As soon as I get the manual done Barry will start putting the kits together as much as he can.

The big delay in this venture of building a complete car kit is completely on the GFRP side of things. As many of you know Team GFRP is a side item of my full time business. Therefore the amount of time it is taking me to run the bigger quantity of parts has taken a lot longer than I had anticipated. Rest assured when the kits do come out, parts will not be an issue as the quantity of kits available and parts available will be covered. Barry and I are making sure that when someone calls needing a part that we will be able to deliver it in a timely manner.

For those who are interested in conversion kits, check with Redneck RC and Lefthander RC. I know both have been carrying them in stock.

So to answer the question on when they will be available. I will say as soon as we possibly can. I would like to think that within the next three weeks would be an obtainable goal. Trust me guys there is no one out there that would like to see these kits on the shelves at Hobby Shops more than Barry and I.

For those who are wondering about the sprint hoods. I messed up the old mold, I have since cut a new one. I took it to a guy tonight, he is going to have some hoods for me on Saturday. As long as they look good then they will be available the following week. If I still need to make changes to the mold then it will be delayed by a week. This is the first mold for lexan I've made and it has been a learning curve.

Thanks

Sprint cars gonna be available at the same time as the edm's? Will the sprints come with the cage/body/wing?

The two kits should be done at the same time. The sprint cars at first will not come with the cage or bodies. I haven't settled on a cage design yet. I chose to go forward with everything else first. Also an instruction manual hasn't been finished yet for the SC. We are going to go ahead and make them available though. It will be a little more of a pain for people getting the SC's since we don't have a cage done but hopefully it won't be long after the cars are released that we will finish them up.

As for the kits release date, we are still working hard in trying to finish up the little details. We have everything in stock now, it is just a matter of making sure that every nut, screw, and washer is accounted for and included in the packaging.

I will be sure to let everyone know when they are in Hobby Shop's.

Thanks for your patience,

DM

Sounds good, another question is... the Sprint in the readers ride forum that you posted has a custom works cage right? what kinda mods does it take for that to work?

yea it is a CW cage, I cut the front off and round the back off where the rear bumper would go. The cars come with two rear bumper mounts.

Doug you lucky guy.

Enjoy it, is an awesome car. Not sure the difference with buggy tires compared to foams.
