The picture is so bad that I can only make out Tex on the left, Chip to his right and Rich Schaffer (aka. Wing Nut) has his sprinter on the track!?

Yes that was one of my hornets. The other picture has a picture of a Bolink Round Tracker sprint car The guy that drove that had a brother that raced to. I think they were twins? just cant come up with a name.

wow, you guys talking about raceplace just made me have to reply, which i never do,i don't think i was at the 1985 celebertity race but if i was i was probably so far up frank cozze's butt you wouldn't see me anyway,man friday nites at raceplace was the track to be at, think of all the guys who raced there and are now driving real race cars, john willman(who still races r/c when ever he can and has pretty much been the king of birdsboro the last couple of seasons) rick laubach,bobby lineman,singley,bill henning,brad force, and i'm sure there are some i forgot,it's pretty cool when you see these guys racing and you think man, i use to race r/c cars with them. when ever us "old" r/c racers get to reminising, raceplace always comes up, like the earlier post about the shooting or who remembers a particular r/c racer at a series race getting his butt chewed off by his then girlfriend and he just loaded up and got the heck out of there,oh that was a good one, does any one remember??? and after friday nites late races going to the plain and fancy resturant to eat yet,those were fun times!!!!!!!!!

Wow, glad I missed the chewing out event!

Shooting, I won't forget the sight of 5-6 state police cars ripping past the RC track around to the back of the building!! Only at the QMART!

I have too many good memories since I pretty much grew up at the Raceplace. :thumbsup:

AHH yes the Plain &Fancy, how do you think I got so fat!!??

Anybody have outdoor pictures of Raceplace. Like what was mentioned, Friday night on the dirt, Greasy pizza and Fries from indoors at the Qmart. AAAHH racing the way it was meant to be.:checkeredflag:
