Hi Mike,

First off, thanks for breakfast at the Freeze. That shows true class to buy for everyone at the table regardless of chassis affiliation.

You have any pictures or details of the new sprinter yet?

Take care,
Mark

Are you going to have one of your cars at the race for viewing. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it to many of the WDRA races this year but I'll do my best.

I've decided to sweeten the JRC Sprint Car Series a little more, anyone that wins an A-main on this WDRA Tour w/ a JRC Lightning sprint car will receive $25.00 cash or $40.00 in JRC products to be given out that same day. Good Luck to all competitors.

FYI...A truck class was offered at Radio Hill, and guess how many showed up. Thats right, TWO. How can I justify carrying a class that no one shows up for? Its been like that for years. Even when Rupert had the series, I don't think that there was ever a time when more than 5 showed up, and that was for only a fraction of the races.

Mike, you're a better driver than having to cherry pick the truck class anyway. I could win a 100 truck races, and it wouldn't mean as much to me as finishing second in the C Main last week against some of the best drivers in the NE.

So if you could guarantee 10 trucks at 80% of the races, I'll gladly have a truck class. Until then, its not worth the effort....for a field of 2.

As for the sprint class, thats Mike's baby, but I'll help in any way I can if it means getting more folks out to race.

We had 9 sprints this past weekend at redneck. A couple of the guys usually race carpet with their sprints. But they tried the dirt and ordered two new CW-sprints just for dirt. So the class is growing. The only problem we had was Dylan stunk the show up. Bounty on Dylan?? :skull: HHHMMM

My personal opinion: Having "big block type" sponsored drivers dominate the sprint car class will kill it before it starts.

Dylan winning sprint car races in NY will sell about ZERO cars for his sponsor. Put a guy like Jan Poyneer in victory lane with a sprint car...now I'm impressed with your car! No offense to guys like Jan, but I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that he's not a "big block type" driver.

Looking forward to meeting all of the competitors, please don't hesitate to come over and introduce yourself, I'm a very approachable person. Thanks for the interest in the JRC Sprint Series, This should be a FUN series to run hand in hand with the WDRA Series.
Thanks,

Any schedule yet?

Mike Jeffery
April 13th, 2008, 11:25 AM
I will be posting pictures of the JRC lightning Sprint in a couple of days, I just need to finish up a few things first.

There is no schedule that is set in stone yet, our first race is next weekend at Readneck R/C and the only other for sure race is the Summer Nationals @ Chico's. Other than that we are more than likely going to follow most of the WDRA events for the remainder of the year, we are to any suggestions that the fellow racers might have, you can either let me know or contact Paul Braueraka (Wally) w/ the WDRA.
Thanks,
Mike

Is the series following ALL the WDRA races or just the Putnam SDS races?? Also any results from Redneck. I know where I finished, or didn't finish, but I will be out there trying next time. Never thought to double check the pinion gear set screw it had been on there all day.
