Hyperdrive Owners:
George Hawkins and myself have been running Lipo's in our cars for the last month or so and sharing that information with Dustin as well as each other. Our goal is to keep the Hyperdrive Havoc ahead of the competition as the Lipo's become more common in Dirt Oval Racing.
If you have been running a Lipo with success I encourage you to contact Dustin with any information that may help all of us with our learning curve.
The bigger the team, the stronger the team, the faster we all are.

Thanks for posting Mark.
I've been running lipos since the indoor season started back in Sept with great success. I've learned a lot not only about the lipos themselves, but also about how they affect the cars handling. I would also encourage any of you who have been testing/running lipos with success to let Dustin know.

Dustin,
Allan Webster and I run LiPO packs exclusively out here in California now, and we have pretty much been dominating everything. Same setups from the open wheel. Only difference between our setup is that i run my wing as far back as possible. This sprint car turns too darn much, i am always taking away turn in on this car.
Allan won a stock motor enduro race with his edm using 2 LiPO packs. His average lap time was 8 tenths faster than anyone elses BEST lap time. Cars are fast.
BTW, can you send me the logos so i can get them to my vinyl guy?

Yup, ran two Trakpower 4900 batteries in parallel. Ran them sideways, side by side, electronics up front, 100 laps (quals were 5 min, ran 50 laps each time). Basically, when I charged them afterwards, they both took about 2200 mah. So, to run one battery might be cutting it close. Though, who really runs a 100 lap race?
The sprint is going to be run much more often out here, as there really isn't an EDM class.
Like Matt said, really haven't changed the setup from the Open Wheel. Put a couple of turns in the right front, one out of right rear because it turns in too hard.
