Things have gotten blown out of proportion and someone has made some statements that are totally untrue. All of my responses to thier allegations and untruths can be backed-up and proven with phone calls to all that they claim I have contacted. Point of fact I have not in the way it has been stated.
I don’t want this class to become cost prohibitive, because I would like to race it. With the open format it has just become very expensive. Here is why-
It will cost me money to find out which motor combo will be the most competitive, plus No organization or manufacturer has a set standard to which a "13.5 motor" is built to, so it essentially is a 13.5 mod class and 13.5 in name alone. Also when people realize that if you do certain things to Lipos when charging they will put out more power. Problem is nobody knows how long the pack will last. This WILL cause catastrophic failures. And people will do this to get an edge.Plus is it fair to limit others who may only have NiMh to a certain critera? Why not L ion cells? My last post should explain quite a bit. I wanted to get direct feedback on specific rules under a “what if” or “how about this” scenario. And some got the idea. Some responded directly to an issue they had. I don’t have all the answers or even some of the answers. I volunteered to help and it was accepted. I am no longer going to offer my help. It is clear to me that my suggestions and methods of getting feedback are not understood and not welcomed. I am a racer and I do this for fun. However I also do this to see if I can be competitive and use the equipment I feel will help me do that. The 13.5 EDM class as it is being set-up or how it would like to be set-up is NOTHING MORE THAN A LIMITED MOD CLASS with few limitations. This is just my opinion
Apparently I have single handedly turned this into a big mess w/ my input.(but I have that special ability, ha ha ha)
