Here are pics of the production car with all the anodizing done. This is how the car kits will come with the exception of the body posts, tires, and the alum. outdrives. We are working on the instruction manuals right now and waiting on a few more of the parts to come in. Looking for the car's to hit the Hobby Shop's within the next 2 months. For anyone going to the Snowbird's or the Freeze we will have the car there on display in the Hyperdrive pit area.

That looks impressive. The HD red looks good and it gives the car a finished look. Turn up a red anodized plug for the topshaft hole and that car will be complete.
As a long time supporter of the competitions kits, I'll admit that yours looks well designed and ready to race. A car can never have too much anodizing on it. Will the nose plate also recieve the red treatment?

The nose plate and the rear mounts will both probably stay black. They blend in and make the car look better imo. I did one in all read and it kinda looked like more of a toy vs. a race car.

Don't feel too bad Raymond this is the first car that has been anodized. I had the stuff anodized so we would have proper photo's for everything. I'm going to be polishing out some more parts this week to get to Barry so he can have them anodized for the kits.
Add to your photos on here if you would. I would like to see how you mounted the wing.

Dustin, is there plans of making a rear arm mount with more than 1 deg. toe in it? I would like option of 2-3 deg.
Thanks,

Barry and I have talked about it. We need to know if people would like to have $8-$10 kydex bumpers or $15-$20 carbon ones.

Raymond...You need to look at Dynotech's adjustable rear arms if you like to experiment with toe, they are really slick. 0-3 degrees in .75 increments in a matter of seconds. I run them on both of my nitro cars.
I don't think Dustin has any plans to make mounts with more than 1 degree at this time.

Cool thanks! I just put on a set of B4 hub carriers with 1.5 deg of toe on the car:thumbsup: We don't run on a high bite track so you need more toe in than just 1 deg. I was looking @ Chad's arms they look cool also might order some just because

couple questions:
If i order one of these kits from you, would i be able to get the alum outdrives and the alum body mounts as an option part?
Also would custom anodizing be able to be done, so say if i wanted like blue or purple or green or something, would that be available?

Tom,
Dustin is at the Snowbirds until Monday. I don't want to amswer this for him because I'm not sure what the current plan is. However, I do know that there has been discussions about the racers that want certain upgrades and how to accommodate them without having to charge for the upgrades individually over the kit price.
I'm sure he will answer your questions when he gets back early next week.

For now the kits will only come in one form. We have talked about doing a full options version but we are trying to get the first ones done now. As far as custom anodizing goes we will not be offering any. It would open a can of worms on which colors we would have to keep at all times. There are minimums on all anodizing so it wouldn't be cost effective.

thats cool. i like the red, kinda a signature of hyperdrive, which i've always been a fan of. I wont be buying one of these til about june(put that rebate to good use!). I only run carpet and right adding a 4th class to run would be just too hard. So it will be a new additon to my carpet fleet for next season... thanks for the response!

Can you order the Havoc with the sprint cage? Or is that something you have to get from another kit?

I talked to dustin and hyperdrive and figured that the SC Havok graphite conversion and a CW cage with a wider center bars would be the best otion to go with right now. I will be sacrificing a b3 terminator and using all but the chassis and shock tower from it. Widen and mount the cage, build a hood from lexan, use cw side body and tail, I have an old cobra sprint I am gonna try for the side panels and wing from first. It will be a little while before a gfrp cage and body is ready for production, Darn perfectionists. And yes, I was the guy that got the kit from lefthander website. Wow, this is wider than I thought it would be, but there is no servo mounting holes? either way, It is nice to have a sprint that is not based off the cw frot ed. othig wrong with them, Ijust like to be different.

What kind of tires will fit on the Havoc? Oval car tires? Touring car tires? Or are they a special tire in them selves? Was hoping to fit BSR foams and caps on the car. Is it possible?

cw rims, b3 rims, or any thing with a 3/16 rear axle.

The b3 tranny, arms, axle, carriers, transmission brace. You will need a teminator front end. Not sure if you can get by with just the kick up and bulkhead and shock tower. I think you can use the front arms and steering parts, but doubt you could use the bellcranks.

March 29th, 2008, 7:03 AM
either gofast's 2.6 tranny setup or the b2/3 2.4 tranny will work inthe car, b2/cw rear arms, cw rear hub carriers, b2/3 cvds, use a complete go fast front end setup including the bellcranks. You won't go wrong wiith buying one of these kits.
