Here are a few pics of our new electric sprinter. We debuted it at the Open Wheel race this past weekend with great reviews by the people that saw it at the race. Thought that I'd post some pics of it to show the rest of the dirt oval community.
The car features adjustable toe, adjustable anti squat, a few different placements for the batteries, P.R.O. front end, stand up steering servo mount, B4 CVD's, TC3 threaded shocks, battery cradle, body, cage and top wing. Car doesn't come with tires or wheels.
One of the most unique features of the car is that the motor is mounted vertically in the car and is mounted though the bottom of the chassis. We designed the car this way to try to utilize the torque of the motor to rotate the car as opposed to jacking the the car front to rear under heavy acceleration.
The car worked very well in it's first trip to the track. I had some of Dirt ovals finest wheel the car, and their impression of the car was very positive. We didn't win the race but I think in the very near future you'll find it at the top.
The cars diff and gear set are made from a TC4 parts, so aftermarket parts will be readily available.
We are putting this car into production this week and will have it available by the end of next week. The cost of the car is going to be $399.99(plus shipping).
I am a sprint car fan so that is were we started this project, in the future if there is enough interest we will offer the car in a EDM or late model versions.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I'll try to get to your questions ASAP(I'll be in the shop making the parts for the car so please bear with me for returning phone calls)
Thanks again for all the support.

It is the same cage as the gas car so a Custom Works cage and body should fit if you like it better.

With everybody just copying everyone elses stuff these days, I've been wondering when someone would come up w/ something truly innovative...well this is it!
I don't know what is my favorite part...the cool drive train or the shady body! If I had to buy a sprintcar, this would be the one!

Hey Chad, What about doing an "LT" (loose track) version of the electric car like my Nitro?
I did get the shock tower in time and will be heading to Joplin tomorrow.

I agree with what Wally said- too much duplication instead of innovation these days.
I saw Chad's sprint car first hand, and it is too cool-pics do it zero justice. If he incorporated either the front cantilever suspension OR the rear vert-mount motor, it would have been a hit...both in one package = HOMERUN.
The only other sprint I saw all week that was intriguing and innovative was Eric Salvas' CW sprint. The "Metric Conversion" not only looked great, but worked awesome, too.:checkeredflag:

what kind of kingpins are you running on that car? i dont think i ever saw a king pin with a threaded end so you could run a heim on top. thats cool
Doug Carter
December 16th, 2007, 12:18 AM
There are old 1/10th scale pan car kingpans that will allow that. I think most of the 1/10th scale drag cars use front kingpins like that currently.

They look like Radical king pins from Irgang Racing.

December 16th, 2007, 10:32 AM
What I used for the king pins are .560 shock shafts installed upside down. You'll have to use a thin nut with loctite or turn down the shock shaft(.115 dia for about .100 lenght) at the threaded side to use a locking nut.

Thanks for all interest in the new electric car, I'm sure that you all will like it.
Thanks to all for the praise on the design, I appreciate it.
I've been putting the car on a small diet, some of the aluminum parts have been changed to plastic and some steel parts have been replaced with aluminum. I just want the car to be the best it can be without having to buy a boat load of trick parts.
Thanks to all that have been patiently waiting for their new rides to arrive.

Hey All,
I have got all the electric for my new Dynotech ride except for a steering servo.
Will have a Novak 5.5 Brushless, Spektrum Pro Reciever. Need opinions on what to run for a steering servo. I don't know the layout of the steering in this car am wondering if metal gears are a must or a plus, should I go high speed or high torque or both.
I run a Futaba S9101 in my Terminator and Just a Standard Futaba steering servo in my GBX Enforcer. I have never really looked at the servo type as a big deal, but I know it is.
Thanks

hi guy's
received my car today... what shock oil should I start with? and what tires/rims do I need to use.. Am I correct to assume custom works type..
I will be running on a looser type track.. For rubber type tire what is a good starting point?
Well off to start paintint
Thanks
Ron

Ron,
You can start with 60wt all the way around with B4 wheels front/rear.
I always run inside jobs on loose type tracks with three rib fronts.
Try mounting 4WD front inside jobs on B4 rear rims, not so much crazy bite as the full size Inside jobs.
With some types of rear buggy tire, you might need to shorten the side knerf bars?
Hope this helps.

Doug, I run a 4.5 Novak in mine. What I did was took the black cap off the end and notched it out so the wires would lay flat. It worked out well.

Doug,
Chad is correct, I fold the wires over and put a DYNOTECH sticker on the bottom of the car for dual purpose: One to let the marshel know that my car is on it's lid, and the other to make sure that the sesor wires don't get snagged on any surface.
I run a 5.5 novak.

March 16th, 2008, 1:25 PM
Cool, good to know. The wire now looks like it is even flexing the rear motor area towards the chassis. It's a tight fit in there, especially with the gears needed for some of these brushless motors.
