Hey guys! I won my first race on Sunday! I had 2 horrible heats and started last in the main. But with about 1 min. to go I passed the leader and never looked back!! I hope i can get some more wins, it sure feels good!! The class is stock RC18T with foams and Latemodel bodies. Our track is 200' with 10 deg banking. Its shaped kinda like Darlington (egg). Here are some pics of the winning ride!!

Thanks! Actually that was the last race of that series of 4 races. The club is working on a new schedule so hopefully it wont be long before I get a chance to get back to victory lane, LOL. This time I will also be running a modified 18T along with my stock 18T and Nitro RS4.

Good job man:thumbsup:
Which latemodel body is that?
It looks different than most of the others I have seen.

..... but I hate to be the one to tell you that the only real difference between an RC18T, an RC18MT and an RC18B is the body --- so I don't know why, for all intents and purposes, that you're insisting on calling your late model a TRUCK. Because it's not.
Since we are on the subject of nit picking, nowhere in my post did I refer to my 18T as a "TRUCK". I call it an 18T because that is what it is. That is what we call the class we run. We can run anybody we want. Sometimes I refer to it as "my little car" or "my race car". Who cares what I call it. When I say "I race an RC18T with a Latemodel body" most ppl know what I am talking about and probably couldn't care less if I kept the "T" or dropped it. And I hate to be the one to tell YOU that this thread has nothing to do with whether or not my RC18T is a "TRUCK" or not. This is a thread about my first win since starting to race RCs. So I don't know why, for all intents and purposes, that you even wasted your time on worrying about what I call my "little car".

I hope you continue to win more races. Glad to see someone excited about winning a race.... RERacing, what is your deal, can you not just be happy for someone who is happy about thier finish. Give your congrats and move on, spitting venom is not good for our hobby / sport, nither is nitpicking, you well stated, and so you should not do it "period". Let the guy have a little enjoyment. Lay off.

Who knows someday you may actually get a win and want to share it.

THANK YOU, Nitro94, nano cup, DarrinNumbers, and jay55. Its nice to see some ppl on here aren't "nit pickers". ;) Seriously though, thanks. Re-Re racer's post really got me down about this forum. I wish there is a way to put some users on "ignore" ya know what I mean? As far as winning races, I won with my RS4 Nitro recently and I hope to get my Revo in a race coming up in a few weeks. Just gotta get it tuned up. Thanks again, guys!

Ya know, I have been rc racing for a lot of years, and I still get a kick out of winning. Even if theres nothing to be gained for it. I love the feeling of being the best on that day, at the same time when I don't win, I will be the first one to congratulate the winner.

Great job on your first win with your RC18T (thats what I call mine also)
Some of you people need to lighten up and not take this so seriously, after all, we are playing with toys and its ment to be FUN.

Ok, one-time warning for everyone in this pissing match here. Many participants have low post counts and recent dates of joining the forums, so you may not be aware of how we conduct ourselves here.

Fighting, bickering, flame-baiting, pissing matches and schoolyard taunting are NOT TOLERATED. End of story. Consider yourselves all warned, as it will be the last one you receive before being permanently booted off of DirtOval.com. This stops right here.

Well.. Guess you can consider me GONE. A kid wants to tell everyone about his first win and you get someone nitpicking what he calls his car/truck or whatever.

Doug, you want to boot me off for tryin to stand up for him, go for it

SEE YA

Suit yourself.

I never said I was booting anyone off, but everyone here has been warned about their behavior in this forum.

Gosh, some folks sure do get butthurt awfully easy. I tried being lighthearted in what I wrote, even congratulated you on the win (despite thinking it rightlly deserved a "whoop-d-doo" since that's what most folks thought)........but your response really sets me off with its mean-spiritedness.....

.......and despite what you say, or what you suggest people think ----
the TRUTH, and the fact of the matter, is that the T-designation stands for TRUCK. :ha:
So get it right before you start getting all high and mighty and defending yourself so staunchly.
Well smarty, mine is an 18t also, with a lm body on it. That's what it started life as, so that's what it is, if you want to help clarify it call Associated they named them. If not come on down to Sumter and we can talk about it face to face. Racing this Saturday, starting @10.00am, I'll be in the gold trailer. By the way, good win Chops.
