you didn't give a lot of info to go on-- but if your running a stock slider and the rear of the car is too high the dog bones or cv 's are at a big angle causing wear and a bunch of drag on the little worthless motor--if you are running a bigger than 1100 battery or a motor other than stock you may be putting more h.p. to the parts than they can take-maybe a liitle more info on your part will get you some good help on the problem--rich

The MIP outdrives are metal. Mine are ready for replacement after about 10 race nights. That diff works way better and costs less by the way, much more adjustment. Just about every hop-up part that losi makes, someone else makes better.

the motor and esc are awesome.with the timing on the esc about 1/2 turned up its about as fast as a stock motor with a good pack all the way turned up its faster but not so much faster that a good stock car with a good pack cant compete with. im running the 5.4.
the esc is awesome, very simple to set up and loads of adjustments and a self diagnostic test.

Good deal, some of our guys are wanting to go brushless in the Slatemodel class. But we don't want to make the brushed stuff obsolete.I even suggested a break out so no one would go overboard on motor. Thanks

if you want to keep it competitive with brushed motors i would recommend nothing higher the a 5.4 system ialso havea hacker 49k and thats about equal with a stock.
