So at the races lastnight, my 14000 series Intellect battery took a crap and the store was all out so I had to buy a 12000 series. When I ran the next race, It seemed like the car was a heck of a lot faster. I did not have any lap imes to compare the two, but it just seemed faster. Am I retarted or is there some truth to this?

Well if the 1400 was on it's way out that may be why the 1200 seems faster.

Electronically speaking, if you aren't dumping the 1200, they should be the same, speed wise, however the increased capacity will allow you to gear up some. The 1400's also seem to have slightly higher static voltage, and more punch. Both my cars seem to be quicker with the 1400's. With all that in mind, batteries vary cell to cell, batch to batch and vendor to vendor. That is why cells are matched, and guys mark their better packs.
