What does a red blinking light on the speed controler meen? I run my car for like 1min and then it starts to slow way down and then stop. I can still turn the wheels, just not move! Theres also a red blinking light on the speed controler. It will blink for like 30sec and then go out and then the car work again for a few seconds and then does it all over again. I'm getting so many headaches from this thing.

Mine did the same thing, just get the motor changed and it will work fine. I put a new stock one in and now it runs like a champ.

Sounds like the ESC is "thermalling"... Locally we all use a fix posted to the internet -- cut the "face" out of the driver's helmet and a hole in the back of the center of the body (the area under the helmet). This creates an airscoop (the helmet) and vents the air directly onto the ESC heatsink and then on down to the motor...

I shaved the bottom of the helmet to allow more to get to the esc. I will also cut out the "face." But what is the hole you want me to cut in the body? Pics?

Thanks again for all the help.

When the sliders first came out they had motor problems and ESC problems. If it isnt one, its the other. Mine would run for 30 seconds and shut off, the light would blink red, after about 5 minutes it would run again and then shut off, it was the motor over heating that bad. You can cut the helmet or the hood scoop out to try to get the ESC and other electronics air, I cut the hood scoop out.

Also, as crazy as it sounds, be careful with your shocks, my one friends drained the oil and they were letting the back of the car hit the grownd off the corner and the motor was smaking the surface everytime.

check the brushes and the shunts... make sure everything is moving freely where it should be moving and you arent gettin a 'hung brush'

Mine's doing the same thing and I just noticed a cap broke on my motor. Could that be the problem? It does it almost immediately with my 2200mah pack, but takes about a minute with the 1100mah pack. Or maybe it's just the ESC. What's your prognosis, doctor?

Thanks that helped. In the end, I found out that it was my battery that was causing all my problems. It would register as being fully charge but it wasn't. I switched to a new battery and all is well! Thanks for all the help!
