Ok, I've read the posts about the Winter season. I'm still in Iraq, should be back in GA sometime in spring. The wife and I are planning a cruise in June and then a family trip back home to the Watertown area. I plan on making a stop at Redneck's in hopes to run into Jan, Jim C, and Shannon. How is the turn out for racing during the summer? Am I safe to say that the classes for the winter racing apply for the summer as well? I'll look on the WDRA site to find out the specs.
Also, I'm working on getting a dirt oval package together as we speak. I have just purchased a Kranzel's Term, have a Cobra GBX with LM on it, and a T4. I'm not planning on running the truck however I got my start in that building with a Blackfoot....so we'll see. I'm not a professional but with good set up tips, I'm pretty sure I can hang, but what EDM class would be good for me? I don't neccessary want to run a novice class but I can quarantee I'm not up to the experience level as say Jan or Jim. I would appreciate any advice thrown my way and look forward to running there and maybe visiting some other tracks in the area like Walt's. Is Chipmunk Hill still running?

i will leave the questions concerning the track and the summer racing to Matt.
as of what class you should run...i would say practice a bit if time allows and go from there.
Walts is carpet now, and i believe chipmunk hill is still around.

Walt's is carpet now???? I remember him having that big carpet track but I thought the dirt oval with the huge cracks would always be there. Is the outdoor track gone too?
I've looked at the website of the track in Watertown...and I thought I heard about a track in Lafargeville....I'll just be happy to be racing some dirt oval when I get up there. There's a really small oval back in GA so I'll run my Term there even know there's no class for EDM. But hopefully I can get all these guys here to get off their tails and let me build my oval here in Iraq. I don't want to rule the dirt or anything but would like to get some good racing in and not get completely spanked!

The carpet track is where the dirtoval was at Walts. The outdorr track isnt gone, but they didnt race on it at all this summer so its kind of getting overgrown.
Chipmunk Hill is still around, last i heard (last winter) they were redoing the track for this winter, not sure of that is still in the works.
Chico's is in Lafargeville, really fun track to race at.
