Has anybody drove these cars on a dirt oval yet? These things are fast as @#$% in stock form let alone a lipo battery and brushless motor! Are there any conversion kits out there yet for these cars? And are there any tracks racing these cars on a regular basis? I Think these cars would get more people in Dirt Oval cuz they are cheap ( under $100 ), and are fun to drive. And you can build a minature Dirt Oval track in your backyard like i did. It has a 32ft driveline on the bottom grove and the lanes are 3ft wide with no banking. AWESOME fun when you race with your friends!
THANKS

Does anybody even own one of these cars? Iam trying to convince my parents to let me run a couple of races at my home track next year (2 or 3), and iam seeing if any body in the So. Ill. area would show up, possibly even a little money race would be cool.

Yes, Monee has been running a 1/18 class for some time now. Right now we are getting 9
to 10 Losi Sliders on friday nights. We are running them box stock. The poeple that were
running the 1/18 truck class have not been back yet. But we were getting 6 to 8 of them
also. Some of them are running Latemodel bodies too. There might be a indoor
carpet track opening after the first of the year. For 1/16 and smaller scale racing.
Details are pending.

Yes, a Micro-T is 1/32 scale, smaller yet than a Mini-T. Iam just wonderng if there is ANY organized racing of these little cars around the midwest. Iam trying to be the first Micro-T only dirt oval track in So.Ill. I already have one but its not a great one (to bumpy), so my parents gave me a big space of land to build me a track this winter. And iam wondering that if i put on a couple of races, would people come (4-5 racers would be awesome).
Heres a Modified body that you can by for a Micro-T.

They are fun little cars. I have the BRP wedge body on mine. Suspension is a little tough to tune...I clipped my springs to lower ride height. I also put the Losi micro treaded tires on mine. They are like the ones on the slider. Racing them would be a blast, but I think I would prefer indoor tracks.

Thats a NICE Micro-T you have there supercreep! I just got a Micro-T last weekend and i ordered the modified body, and it should be in this week. How did you clip your springs??? And what else have you done to your suspension to make it handle the oval like a dream? Also, the indoor tracks are awesome!, i turned our spare bedroom into a indoor oval, it is FUN!!!!!!!!

Thanks....I just used wirecutters on the stock spring. I cut off about three turns of each spring. It handled a little better after that, but the big difference was the tires. I'll probably get some aftermarket shocks next.
I haven't done anything else lately..been too busy with the 1/8th scale Latemodel. We have about 2 months left on the schedule and then we move indoors for electric racing.
Ahh, I remember the days of having a spare bedroom....then came kids.

I dont know??? But i do know that the Micro-T is smaller than the palm of your hand. And its as fast and could be built faster as a stock RC18t. These little cars are FUN!!! to drive in your living room, or outside on the concrete. The front wheels NEVER stay on the ground.

macsperformancerc.com builds a oval conversion that you can order in three different forms. ready to run with the conversion, race roller conversion with ball bearings, cvds, no clip axles and body, and you can also get just the conversion to put on your truck if you already own one

1/64=slot.

1/64 = HO slot
1/32 = 1/32 slot
Micro-T = 1/36 scale.
They are a blast to drive and totally addictive. I have the 3racing oil-filled shocks and they are among the best investments a person could make for these cars. I'm in the process of setting mine up for oval. I've been in contact w/ Mac's. Seems like good stuff. Maybe a little pricey, but hopefully as popularity increases and production goes up, costs will decrease. No tracks in my area run this scale yet, but my hopes are high since the cost of entry is so low.
Fingers crossed.

This is just my opinion but we have rc cars from 1/36 to 1/3 scale. It seems that the most popular is 1/10 scale. I would just stick with that. I think that diluting these other classes down with different body styles is even worse - unless they are run together.

Not everyone has the money to spend on 1/10 scale racing personally think the slider and the micro are an easy and affordable way to have fun being different isnt always a bad thing;)

The Micro-T is very affordable! I got the car and a spare battery for $98. U cant even by a GBX or Klien car for that amount of money. And the aftermarkert support for these cars ar HUGE! U have 3Rracing, Hot RC Products, MAC's Performance RC, and countless others. If RC Pro Series is reading this, this would be a great begginer class for the 2008 race season! They are cheap, fast, and fun to drive! Have a Stock (PARMA Mod body, Stock motor, and Team Losi Lipo) and a Open (Mac's conversion kit, brushless motors, lipos) That would be a great class to start in!
