Every time I come to visit I have to hit refresh to bring the newest items to the top.
Then once I enter a chosen topic, I have to hit "refresh" again in order to see the new topics.
I have visited many forums and have never come across an issue like this so I need a little help to figure out how to make the forum load (reload) correctly.
THanks for the help,
Scott Edwards

A couple of things to try:
Validate your settings in your profile for thread display.....(USER CP / Options / Display settings) I have mine set to show newest first.
<Pretty sure the CP setting is NOT your problem so here is my 2nd guess :) >
Are you running some kind of bandwidth saver software? It sounds like you are loading a 'cached' version when you hit the site. Some Dial up ISP's will use caching techniques to improve browsing speeds. On dynamic forum pages you might have to refresh.
<if still no fix>
Are you behind a proxy server??? like at work? Not much you can do if this is the issue .... other than to say hey boss... can you call the IT group b/c i can't browse to all my sites :)
<still no fix>
well try the old standby of clearing your cache / cookies and restarting your browser. I certainly don't think this will fix your problem ... but, at least when Doug shows up you will have tried all of the obvious things.
<when this doesn't fix it>

THanks for the attempt. But none of that resolved anything. I am using broadband. The clearing the cache didnot help, and I am at home.
This is the only site I have this kind of issue with.

Sounds like a browser issue to me. The site has no control of the pages stored by your computer, it only relies on cookies to see what you have read on the forums. The site and forums function properly on Mac, Linux and PC using Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Safari and Opera, so I can confidently say with 100% certainty that it's not a function of the forums.
What I would try:
Clear your browser cache and stored browser history.
Set browser Options or Preferences (for whichever one you use) to search for new pages and information every time you visit a page (and to not used stored page caches).
Clear or remove all browser cookies related to www.dirtoval.com (http://www.dirtoval.com).
Log back in to www.dirtoval.com (http://www.dirtoval.com) (use the "www") and be sure to click the check box that says "Remember Me?"In almost 10 years of managing forums, 100% of problems like this are related to browser settings, and almost always the browser is Internet Explorer. If you are having trouble getting the forums to work properly, the first place to look is the browser settings. We're running a stock vBulletin setup that isn't hacked or modified, so problems are almost nil on the server side.
It would also help to know what operating system and browser (with version number) you are using, for future reference.
