2 questions for y matt....
1. get any more sliders in ?
2.i know you want to start box stock and i agree it should but if the class is large enough or the sliders need upgrading to keep them durable what will you do ?
some things to think about are skill level....are you gonna stack the class with veteran drivers against kids who never raced ? i think both parties would be easily discouraged.
durability issues.if the cars have certain down flaws are we gonna be able to upgrade them or just keep on buying the stock part over and over again ?
last but not least....will my roll cage protect the driver in a crash ?

And if it won't, will there be an ambulance on the premises?

Geo...heres some answers:
1. Not yet. I have 15 on backorder however
2. This class is going to be run on a trial basis. What I mean by this is that if the racers collectively agree that they would like to run brushless, we will allow brushless, along the lines of the 5800 level or something, not full blown modified. I know that the Tekin systems are much easier to program than the mambas, so Id like to allow racers to have options.
2.1 As far as upgrades, we have already found out that diffs on these cars suck. We are allowing racers to use titanium tierods, ball diffs ( Losi, MIP, whichever).
3. If necessary, we will run an "open" class and a box stock class, however, all box stock mini's will be run together in the box stock class if that indeed happens.
4. As of this posting, no reports of injured drivers in crashes.

I have a question about batteries...the stock losi batteries go for around $35.00 but....you can get 1400mah for less than $20.00. so can we run those?:D

im glad to see you are doing your homework matt.
very good point Dan, i think that should be answered as well. a better pack for cheaper. sounds like clear done deal to me.
its like i was talking about from the get go.keep box stock unless things need upgrading like stated above.lets not let this class be killed by solly again.

Yes, the Whiplash 1400 18T Packs will be allowed in these cars. We do offer the Losi 1100 packs too, for those who wish to race at another track that is running this class 100% box stock. Those batteries are $28.99. We priced them as cheap as possible.
Our goal is to not let this class get out of hand. The 1/18 open class is basically anything goes, however Im not sure if lipos are allowed in that class due mostly to the fact that we are inside and the track is fairly short. It would be overkill in my opinion.

we had a long talk with Calvin and from what i gather there will be a stock mini slider class that consist of mini sliders with stock motors and esc's. parts that you can upgrade are parts that will be an issue in the durability area such as the weak diffs and the tie rods.
then there is an open class. which is self explanatory.
if iam wrong about the above . MATT please chime in.. ;)
