Pulled this photo out of the vault....sorry it isn't a little clearer.
Name the driver of the car coming into the corner, the track, and if you know those two then you can probably guess the event....
I guess we'll see if anyone else is still around that was at this race!

Definitely not Monee.
The paint is too nice to be Jim's car. ;)

I figured Doug would get at least part of this one....
The driver of the Trinity Reflex 10 is none other than 33 time ROAR national champion Joel Johnson!
The event was held at a track in Illinois....but NOT Monee.

Gotta be R&R in Quincy, IL... never been there, but I can't think of any other track that could have looked like that.

I've never been to R&R....so the track name remains a mystery!

What about oswego? They used to race oval once and a while. Used to be some big names race there. One of the stickiest tracks ive ever been on. Was it a race prep race?

Bingo....it was Speedworks Sportsman Cup race....held at Midwest Hobby Trax in Oswego, IL. Race was either in the fall of 92 or 93....not sure which.
Race track was black and sticky! I think they mostly ran off road races there.
It was a true handout race....stock motors and 1400 SCR batteries!
Silicone capped foams and stock motors....it was pretty much a wide open affair!

Yep I was there. I finished 2nd in the Sportsman class with my scratch built car. My buddy TQed and was kind of ruffed up early. Strange thing since his CustomWorks TQed in a Trinity race. No TQ trophy.
That was an awesome show put on by Dieter and Joel. I think Joel hit every turn perfect.
