We now have CVD rings for your CVD's. They fit all 1/10 CVD's.

Remove the CVD set screw and install these rings to keep your pins in place, great for gas cars.

$1.25 each or 10/$10.00.(shipping $1.75)

Thank you for the interest.

Instalation...you slide the ring over the ball end of the cvd to where the pin hole is(make sure to remove the set screw) then use a small pair of pliers to work the ring on to the CVD. Start at 12:00 moving around the CVD in hour increments until the ring is flush with the end of the CVD.

These are pretty much a one time use item, when installing is it is a press fit and it expands a bit. When removing it, the ring gets a little buggered up and doesn't have the squeeze as it did when it was new.

Hope this helps.

Chad

Jeff....no problem.

im sure this is going to be a stupid question. why must you remove the set screw?

i think its incase you dont have the pin perfectly centerd and the set screw tight it will make installation a pain and then the ring wont function 100% properly......

correct me if i'm wrong here.....

Leaving the set screw out will eliminate any bind that the coupler would have on the pin. The CVD ring presses against the ends of the pin which can not rotate in the half shaft. The CVD ring will retain the pin without the setscrew.

What if the pin is slightly short?

I got to putting some on last night. One CVD is slightly smaller dia than the other side. The larger dia side pin is slightly protruding out of the cvd. The smaller dia cvd has slightly shorter pin. The CVD ring sort of slips on and off, tried a couple of that side. Wondering what to do. Other than that, seem pretty awesome idea.

Then the pin needs to be replaced with a longer pin, you can use music wire if you wanted to.

The ring needs to be pressed over the pin.

Hope this helps.
