Some additional Summernationals information:

The Summernationals is returning to Fingerlakes R/C Raceway. This year we will be racing under the lights for optimum track conditions. Many racers were disgruntled with the afternoon track conditions last summer. That will not be a consideration this year. Under cover of darkness, Fingerlakes Raceway is as tacky as they come. The traction at night is amazing!

Here's a rundown of how things will go:
The normal Wednesday "club" race will still take place. Summernationals invaders are welcome to participate.

The track is normally covered during the day to retain moisture. On Thursday night the track will be uncovered at 6:00, and opened for practice. If attendance is high enough we will hold controlled practice. Otherwise practice will be open.

On Friday night the Summernationals will begin. The track will be uncovered at 4:00 pm and the first round of heats will begin at 6:00. The first 2 rounds of heats will be run on Friday night.

On Saturday, the track will be uncovered at 4 and the 3rd round of heats will roll at 6. Mains will follow.

Sunday is reserved as a raindate. Hopefully it will not be needed.

I realize that practice time on Friday and Saturday will be limited, but it will be a small price to pay to keep the track wet and tacky.

There will be food on premisis, as well as parts. Camping is permitted and welcome.

I hadn't really thought about it. It is the same weekend as last year. The week before is fathers day, which was an issue in the past. The next weekend is one of the 2 weekends that could be considered 4th of July weekend this year, and I know there are a lot of things going on then too...family parties, lots of races, etc.

Nope.

Most will probably not enter until the day of the race.
