Here's a long shot, but I know some of you old crusties raced off road in the 80s like I did. This is the car I have been searching for many years now without much success. I'm looking for an original Schumacher Cat or the long WB Cat XL, but more importantly, I'm trying to track down one of the TRC graphite chassis kits (chassis + top deck) for the long WB car.
If anyone knows of a clean car that is collecting dust somewhere, I'm interested—please PM me or hit me on AIM/Yahoo during the day.

Good luck finding one.....I have raced against them, and they were a decent car. Haven't seen one in a long time.

If you could track down a man by the name of J.T. Meers he will probably have several Schumacher Cats. I know he lived in Buffalo, Ky but I haven't seen him in about 10 years. He was sponsored by Schumacher at one time, so he had lots of Cats and Cougars of all different models. They would all be set up for dirt oval racing though, not off road. Maybe you could do an internet search and find some contact info for him. He might not want to sell them or he might have sold them already, just a suggestion.

Doug,I'm not even sure what I have,I think a lot of it is for a cougar, but I have a box full of NOS Schumacher parts, even a body or two..It's at my garage across town,if you're interested,I'll get the stuff tomorrow, and take some pics. There are a few graphite chassis, pretty sure they're factory,though..If anybody is interested, they're not the 2.0 cats[I'm keeping them] but I have PILES of oddball Schumacher pinspikes, absolutely KILLER for loose dirt..

I had found a TRC CAT XL that was identical to what I raced in '87, but it was a rat and I wound up selling it as parts.
I'm more than eager to see what you have collecting dust, Lou. This one could be one of the last that my collection is looking for. :D Well, that and an original Cox Scorpion. ;)

Doug,I did find it,but like I said in my last post,it's mostly 2WD Topcat and Cougar stuff. There is some Cat stuff[Cat is 4WD,right?] pretty sure a tranny, and some Trinity aftermarket shafts and such. The chassis are Topcat,also...It's pretty hard to figure out what it's for,I never actually owned one,and the bags just have numbers on them..If you're still interested,I'll shoot you some pics.

Gonna bump this thread, as it strangely enough has proven to be fairly fruitful...
I FINALLY have a new, never run original short wheelbase CAT that is about 75% complete, and I'm searching for NOS or unused parts to complete the car. If you have any idea where to acquire these or have them tucked away in a box somewhere, I'd be indebted...
T031 Front hub x2 (bag T515)
T034 Front pully 50T
T053 4-row rear tires
T055 Front transmission housing (bag T520)
T072 Rear transmission cover plate (bag T500)
T077 Lower rear suspension pivot (bag T505)
T079 Upper rear suspension pivot (bag T505)
T086 Front axle (bag T520)
T105 Fiberglass rear suspension bracket
T109/T110 Upper wishbone (L/R) (bag T505)
A410 Stainless steel pin 2x26mm (bag T505)
Also searching for the original SWB body and top belt cover lexan pull. I know it's a tall order, but one fresh new uncut one could be used to make a LOT more. ;)

Yeah, I did Lou, thanks. I've been having fun going through it this week. I just found a TopCat manual, so I may see what I can do to try to get a complete car together. :)

Doug I am J.T. Meers and I have a ton of the old CATS probably in the neighborhood of 30 maybe more. The newest one I have is a Bosscat. I have a lot of parts still in the packs. If you are interested The only way I would let them go is all together. If this sounds like something you would be interested in drop me a line at jtmeers@scrtc.com

Hey Doug, I know of 1 4wd cat that I raced back in the day that's collecting dust in a buddy's basement, & 1 2wd, same deal, different friend. The last I seen of them both they were 99% -100% complete, maybe even w/ the Novak recievers & speed controls. I'll try to call them both & see about takin them back off their hands as they obviously don't appreciate what they got. I'll do my best to get them dug out & post some pics as soon as humanly possible:thumbsup:
