Redneck RC is the "official distributor" of the Getback RC products. We currently have the chassis, front and rear shock towers, motor plate, delrin steering bellcranks (required with use of this chassis) and both flavors of traction compound. I will get pictures ASAP. Try giving Redneck RC a call at 315-532-6826

As Jeff stated a 9650 is the best servo to use, digital servo that is super smooth and quick. One other servo that i know of that fits well is a Hitec HS225 ,it's a touch slower and not digital, but works fine. I run one in both of my cars. They retail for around $20 to $25 as where the Futaba 9650 generaly goes for around $50-60.

So Dan, about that transponder placement....lemme tell ya a lil story about that. Not to long ago, Jack won a race that had me clearly finishing ahead of him, yet because my transponder is on the servo, whereas his in nose of the Sprinter....he beat me by .00's of a second.

Mind you I don't mind losing a race that close...and as fun as it was, yet just a thought for ya and your servo tape....yeah, why do they call it servo tape anyways when people actually mount their servos????

the personal transponder would be a little more prone to being damaged in the nose section of an EDM. With the sprints you at least have a cage piece to kinda protect it a little. Under the lexan in front of the tower may not offer too much damage protection. I have seen a few guys that run them there, but not many. Kinda a personal preference I guess. Where you have it Dan is exactly where me,Chico and most of the guys running our cars have them placed, have not seen any problems with them being damaged or anything there yet. Anyhow, the car looks good Dan, now take it over there and lay it on Hilts.

also here is a pic of our new shock tower. It is quite abit wider than the previous tower we had been using and also a little lighter. Dan has one of the new towers on his car pictured above also.

I like it too. It gives me more positions to make shock adjustments with. WAY better than
the stock shock tower...

Hey Keith,
I was going to use SERVO TAPE but the servo saver would have hit the chassis. So I ACTUALLY had to mount it....

NOW If I could just find a place for the ESC that I LIKE...

Dan, what speed control are you using? Most guys with these chassis are using the Hara twister,LRP Q2 or Novak GTX variants. As long as it fits there, mount it on the pad for the speed control or you can mount it right behind the receiver on the left side of chassis. Either way make sure you use some kinda clip or something to keep the wiring off the chassis. I use simple wire retainer clips from Radio Shack, beleive Redneck also carries the CRC brand also. As for location it doesn't really seem to affect the handling either place you put the speed control.

Hello Chris,
Using a Novak GTX Controller, I put the ESC in FRONT of the Rear LEFT Wheel as far LEFT as I could. Used small zip ties to control the wireing. Worked great. Just have to make a small
guard to keep the dirt / grease off of the ESC.

JR's new 3650 servo also fits very nicely on the GetBack chassis.

Very similar specs to the Futaba but with metal gears instead of plastic.

I run mine without a servo saver for a really clean looking installation. Works great.

What's with the cutout battery slots? My 4200's fit this chassis better than any other I've had with the original six slots intact. Weight???

RCRACR20
April 12th, 2007, 3:08 PM
lower center of gravity

Stetler17
April 12th, 2007, 4:42 PM
What am I missing? Wouldn't the material that's still there hold the battery at the same height? Unless your cutting the slots a lot wider, which appears they aren't.

Thanks for any info.
Mark

stetler17,
the battery slots were done over so the batteries would be sitting lower in the chassis, the original 6 slots weren't bad at all... but the big three let it sit lower and also let more tape stick to the cells and help keep em in the car!!

hey chris... get her back together yet? that sure was a narly crash... i don't think there was a car in that heat that didn't hit your sitting duck. i'll bet this is what we looked like on the drivers stand- :o :D  :(

hotshoe8t
April 13th, 2007, 5:49 PM
yes, she's like new still, the only thing it broke off was a camber link on the LF. I could have fixed it easily, but I just wasn't really into it last week for some reason.

Stetler17, exactly as Doctorj above on the slots, lower CG and to let the tape stick to more of the cells.
