is there anybody out there that knows anything about the rc10 dual sport. i just bought a nitro dual sport and i know most parts will interchange with the gt truck but the kits and parts have been discontinued by associated. is there anybody out there that still makes or sell parts for these?

You might find some parts at your LHS. Try www.rc10talk.com (http://www.rc10talk.com) and don't forget eBay.

i dont need any parts yet but im sure i will break something sooner ot later, the car i bought is basically brand new it is a kit that was assembled and never ran. i have it completely disassembled now just to make sure it was put together correctly. believe it or not it was. the only thing i am going to do it replace the brass bushings with bearings for the wheels lube the diff put buggy tires and rims on it and a latemodel body and race it. it might not be the fastest but i dont care its just for fun

thanks for the replies any info i can get will be greatly appreciated

I have an electric DS that I've run for fun on the local oval. You can use any of the TC3 springs to set it up and it handles more like a full-sized car than anything else I've run at the oval. Lots of fun. I put a brushless in it and it sure was fast ... in a straight line. Biggest problem is tires, especially the fronts. If you poke around on the Associated site, there are some conversion ideas to accomodate other wheels that will still fit inside the DS body. Like most Associated stuff, it's durable. I've beat mine up smacking curbs in the street and it's still in one piece.

It's a challenge to drive the car well, and that's what makes it satisfying. I wish they still made them.

i am going to run mine in a 1/10th gas latemodel class with a mcallister tuscon latemodel body on it. i will probably run buggy front and rear or custom works tires on it i will have to see what will work better. i put it all back together today and ran it around in the street with the foam tires on it and did some nice donuts and power slides it was fun until i plowed it into a snowdrift and got the radio all wet. oh well it will dry out

here are some pics of my completed nitro dualsport latemodel, i had to put on a duratrax header that hugged the engine closer and put some fuel tubing on the left rear shock shaft so the tire wouldnt contact the header but other than that there were very few problems getting it ready

Mike, I sent you an e-mail about my Gt conversion. It's not much different than the DS. I used the duratrax header and RC10 arms. I'm thinking you could use the DS arms as a direct replacement on the GT to narrow it up. Not completely sure but check it out. I used CW dominator dog bones and a CW front bumber to mount the body. Follow the link I sent you to "Conversion Project" and you'll see the pictures. Chris

i have a shopping list all put together, i am going to use the parts on my DS since it already has the short shock towers and tc3 shocks , i was mainly concerned about which arms and which dogbones would work
thanks a bunch for the help
