NO...not your Mom's slippers. Slipper clutches, who still leaves them loose to hook up on slippery tracks?

Yes, I leave mine loose for driveability,

No, That would make wheelies harder to do.

Need an option for "slipper eliminator used," too. :)

I haven't used a slipper since my off road days, and even then I locked them up and used my left index finger for throttle control.

In my nitro car I have the eliminator and never tried driving it w/ the slipper (eliminator came w/ the car). Now with my electric sprint I ran w/ the slipper and liked having it as long as I was running mod. Now with a stock motor I learned the slipper had to go, and noticed the difference imediately. So I would also say it all depends because I have yet to run the car on a slippery track. :D

I use the slipper outdoors. On loose tracks. Tracks with good bite, i bust out my dd..

I used to run an eliminator but the last few gas sprint cars I have have built and raced, I have left the slipper on the car for another tuning option. Pretty much all my racing is on loose dirt ovals and fwd bite is sometimes hard to find. At times just the power curve of the motor can upset the car. In those situations, I think the slipper could be an effective option verses changing the motor (for less HP). Just my 2 cents.

The lack of a slipper clutch and the abundance of horsepower is why I race dirt oval in the first place.

Just lock it down and drive it! Don't let it be a bandaid for a sloppy trigger finger. Train that finger to be smooth and massaging to the "GO" switch:tire: Caress it for 4 or 5 minutes and you will be rewarded!

OOPS wrong forum.....hehe:rolleyes:

sounds like you need more practice if it takes you 4 or 5 minutes!:D LOL!

I couldn't have said it better myself. I happen to like wheelies.

Slipper Eliminator on my Nitro cars.........better reliability. I do run centax clutches occasionally. If someone had a slipper that worked well, and was consistant.....I might try it.

Eugene, I GUARANTEE you that at the last two Joplin races you would NOT be doing a wheelie with a slipper eliminator!!!!;)

Does anybody east of the Mississippi even know what a loose track is?

east of the mississippi no what a loose track looks like h@## yes out doors around western newyork can bread some nasty slick tracks due to the fact there are 2 great lakes around the area...clay seems to be more silty(sandy) than other places...the fast changing weather kinda helps out to..

I kinda like the slipper with my mod Sprinter. It helps when you dont have your car exactly right. I'm just a Newbie though so I really dont have a handle on sprinters yet. Just a kid out there tryin to win on a shoe string budget. ;)

i have them on some of my gear boxes. but they are locked 99% of the time. now that we run foam tires 99% of the time i dont see much need for them. when we ran rubber tires all the time if u set it just shy of being locked it would save the tranny gears most times when rubber tires would shock the gearbox.

I run direct drive and if you lock down the slipper clutch isn't it like running a DD car.

I only ran my friends car a couple of times and didn't notice a difference but it also could of been me driving.

Just wondering,
