keep me posted on the hobbyworld track. if they get a decent track going it'd be nice to add the track to the schedule.

Ya, I will, see the problem is the guy they were getting clay from dides so they are having problems getting dirt.

Huh? Don't hold your breath. I maintained the track and ran the races from 87 to 91 at Hobby World on 103rd st. and there are many places to get clay in this area. If someone who works there gave you that line, Question everything thay say from now on. I would love to have a dirt oval to run on up here and I still have some of my old stuff. I even have my TC3 setup as a latemodel right now since the last time it was run was at NewReds in Ocala.

I realized a long time ago that if there were to be a good dirt oval here to run on, I'd have to build it and right now that's not feasible.

Hi Larry, You goin to Minnreg tomorrow? I'm thinking about it

So is this "hobbyworld" in J-ville? I am here in Ft. Stewart and have been looking for tracks... I know there's one in Pooler but looking for more. When I get back from Iraq, I'm hoping to convince the Army's MWR to support me building a track....If I can't find a close place to race, I'll build it myself!!:)

Well David, that's just unacceptable. Have a question, did you see the RC Driver issue where they built the track for club racers? There's been a ton of soldiers that have been introduced to the sport of R/C. I think some of the higher ups have already said they'd support a track at Fort Stewart. I just re enlisted a few months back to stay at Stewart. I've met some people and hope to use them to get a track built. Probably start out with an offroad but want to build a dirt oval as well. I want to start a club first...get the numbers up there. Then I want to get non military people as well. It would be nice to have a nice big racing facility that we could have some weekly races! So how many in your neck of the woods do you think would be interested in some dirt oval and/or off road? Cause if I can get MWR behind me, it probably will be a done deal!
