Looking for old Tekin ESC for vintage RC10

Found some of my old parts and I think I'm going to dive into the vintage thing. I found one of my first "competitive" ESC's....(my first ESC was a Futaba).
It's a Tekin Sport TSC 408. I saw a Tekin TSC 412p on Ebay and the plastic shells look the same...wonder if I could put a wolf in sheep's clothing if I can't find a TSC 408? Anyone?

Also found one of my first Novaks but don't know what it is since there's no label on it. Both ESC's not working!

I have a couple of Novak M5's, & 410's and 2 Tekin 410k (keypad) esc's from the early 90's

there was a mint tekin 408 on ebay a couple days ago for $24.00 b.i.n. i'll bet it's gone by now, though.

Tekin wrote me back...here's what they said...wonder if I could get Novak to do that with my old Novak ESC???


We can make it good as new! Total cost would be $47.05
including priority mail shipping back to you. We will
replace any components, the case, all wires, wire harness
and switch. We will also include an original manual and
Tekin decals. I even have some of the original old school
Tekin ones. Just let me know what colors you would like.

i have 2 Futaba speed controls... not sure if they work but i know the FETs were easy to replace... just.. i dont think you can run a modern batteries with anything more then a stock motor...

i bought a tekin TSC 408 from a guy at the track last year, like brand new, wires never cut, had been used a few times in a puller or something. Original box and instructions and all the little accessories that came with it. My brother has been using it al season in his 1/12th carpet road course car. Actually a nice little esc...
