I have one I am restoring. The car was'nt in bad shape when I got it, just neede some TLC. I always wanted one of his cars. After I got this one the things he made and the engineering that went into them is just crazy. Very talented guy. I have spoke with him through e-mail and he seems to be a really nice guy as well. He hopes to build some cars in the future. I can't wait.

The only real problem I'm going to have is finding tires that will match the tires he had on the car. I thought about putting foams on it so I can match the tread patterns of todays cars. When I start putting the car back together I will post some pics of it.

He just emailed me....let me see if I can help ya by trying to remember. I was a young lad when his cars came to A&S Hobbies in Fulton, NY....ole 10Pins aka Jan, lugnut aka Jim, and Shannon have to remember these cars. I believe Jan owned one. As far as the wheels, I believe the car had a Lunchbox rear end. I think the blackfoot rims fit this with little to no modifications. The guys were running Stryker rubber on them. The front was a 2.0 I think. It was slightly smaller then the rears which I believe is a 2.2....But then again I think I didn't even hit puberty when I fell in love with this car....:D

WOW, That looks like the one I have.LOL I guess you were the one I bought it from. So far the car has been stripped, the rearend is completely brand new with new bearings. I basically bought a brand new midnight pumkin with the crome stuff on it millinium edition I think it's called. I am putting all new tie rod and ends on the car and I am going to get the frame and front axle powder coated. You are right about the tires. The one I had actually had a midnight pumkin 2.0 on the right side and a blackfoot 2.2 wheel on the left side. The fronts are 2.0's cut down to be narrower.

I'll have some updates on the car in a little while. I have some 1/4 scale projects going on also.

The tiers on that car remind me of the old Grand Pix tiers that were out in the late 80's early 90's. They had 3 differant tread patterns.

I remember a bunch of guys who owned those from Canada, and they were going to run them at Brockport. They didn't want to run against us, because their cars "were too fragile to run with us.You guys are too rough." Consider the fact that Billy Kimpton and Terry Schmitt ran there at that time! They were going to run as an exhibition class, however they never returned with the cars.

They came down to Fulton when Alan Lane owned A&S Hobbies. Those cars were fast! As far as being fragile, I'd say it's like a real car, you roll the dang thing enough times then yeah, your frame is going to be out of whack. I ran into Cos that owned Competition Corner in Mattydale some many years ago, he said him and another guy built a chassis that was supposed to be stronger...I'd like to build my own cage one of these days but wouldn't know where to start.

Your a very talented man yourself and you were a BIG inspiration to my craft watching you weld and build your chassis.

For those who don't know Chris, he was working for me at the time while applying to Pete Bicknell Racing Products in St.Catharines and Pete's Partner (Randy) called me one day to ask about Chris...and what happened after that call, he was hired shortly after and became THE MAN designing all Pete's bodies and new design concepts for all the sheet metal. Now thats inspiring Chris...high fives! I'm proud of you as well man!:)

chris15 : Do you still work for Bicknell? We have 2 bicknell cars that we race here in the Syracuse area. Last year my brother and I shared car, he ran at fulton and I ran at weedsport. We are putting together a 2005 that will either be a big block ( if the sponsor comes through) or a crate motor sportsman car. Randy helped us alot at the spotsman series race this year. We run the 5j for JIR motorsports. Here is a pic of the car at the cuse'
I also atached a few misc. pics. Maybe I'll se you at a track next year. Also is the new 2007 window design better? I have heard from some people that it is. I was just curious if we should try it out on our new bodies for next season.:D

Rebob005,
I left BRP in 1996.
Moved on to bigger and better things I guess you could say.
As far as any of the new body designs,I really couldn't give any advice.
Wish I had a better answer for you.
Nice pics by the way.
Good luck next year.

Chris
