I want everyone to know that I not DODC or anyone else edited the may race announcment thread. The posting of the email has offended some and that was not the purpose of posting the email. I sit here everynight answering emails and pm's and after answering as many as I had on the issue we as a group made the decsion to post the email to inform everyone what was going on.
To everyone that was offended I apologize to you.
Allen and Janet I also apologize to you for posting the email that you sent to me. The tour was looking forward to racing at your track this year .............after all we had a blast there last season. As I have said in the past we the tour and me personally wish you the best in the future.

Is there any way another date can be worked out or is this issue beyond that?

Well, my post in the other thread is one that is missing, so I take it that I am one of the "bashers". Please let me explain my reasoning:
This will be my first year on the tour. I am so looking forward to "travelling" around, and seeing different tracks. I for one, am not able to make it to Wiley's on Saturday night because of another track that I race at on the same night. That was "MY" choice of track, not anyone elses. There was no other reason for choosing where I decide to race. Afterall, this is America, and many great men and women have fought for the freedom of that choice!!
My deleted post probably seemed a bit harsh, but when you are used to the "politics" and "groups" associated with go-kart racing, you do anything within your power to get away from that madness. I prefer the "family" oriented side of this sport, everyone helping everyone, not "backstabbing" or pulling punches behind peoples backs. That's what I put up with for 7 years, and frankly, the posted email put me right back into that frame of mind.
Probably the biggest reason for my "harshness" has to do with the fact that my wife's grandparents live roughly 2 Minutes from Wiley's. They are getting up there in years and do not drive too awful much, but they have been itching for the chance to see us race RC cars. This track was the perfect opportunity, and now it's gone. They can't make the trip on Saturday nights due to other commitments, Sunday would have been perfect. I guess I got over my head, and was a little frustrated at that point, so I posted what I felt at that precise moment. Probably some of you are thinking this is a pretty lame reason, but her grandparents have been very instrumental and supportive in our "racing" career, now and in the past. They always call, or ask us when we see them how we are doing etc. They actually show more interest than her mother and father, which usually makes her day.
Enough of my babbling, just wanted to explain the reasoning. Perhaps next time I will go out to the fridge and grab a drink, and think about things before I post something like that again. Please accept my apology to the Tour, to Wiley's, and to anyone who my post may have offended.

Hi Rick ,
I have gone back through the threads that were deleted and restored them with some modifications to some of them. In no way do I blame you or anyone else for their feelings this is a free country and we all should be able to say what we want without being censored ..........However I recived some negative feedback mainly towards me about posting the email so I decided to change some of the post on the thread and delete my own post from the thread as well. So no real need to apologize about the the origional post or offer an explanation you are entitled to your own opinions.
I did edit some of the post last night when I was half asleep and now I can not go back and reread them in an unaltered form so Greg ,Nick and any one else that posted and your opinion has been altered a little I am sorry for that. I did not add or change the wording of any post just deleted bits and pieces again I apologize for doing that half asleep.

Rick if I were in your position I would not have a problem going to Wiley's for a regular Sat nite race. You have family that would like to see you race and they should be able to come over there to watch you race on a regular night.

If you want your parents to see you race why not try a Wednesday night race one time so they can see you run? This way they can see you run once and you still get to race at your normal place on Saturday.
