I have 2 questions:
I have asked around and heard that TH makes an exhaust pipe and header combo that will accomidate CW wheels, B4 wheels, and CW foams, have some emails to them, with no response. Is this the only option? Are there other otions that are not oop.
And I am sure your sick of this one, but will you produce dirrect drive kits again? I have a DD Enforcer Pro that I will never let go of, and a Intimidator on the way that is used, but took me some digging to find. The DD Enforcer Pro is in my eyes the best sprint car ever engineered, and these cars are gaining $$ in the used market, to me, I think your missing potential income not offering DD kits.

I assume you mean THS, if not than I am not sure who TH is. THS makes a pipe and manifold set for the GT that keeps the pipe in a little tighter than a lot of the other pipes. It will allow you to run most wheels and tires I beleive, as long as you dont have the car offset (left side tucked in). The pipe set is 1050R and the manifold alone is 1050RM pictured here: https://secure.handzon.com/itechapp/thsracing/images/THS1050RM.jpg
There is also a Mugen header that keeps the pipes very tight against the chassis but I do not know the part number for it.
We do hope to re-release an updated DD car at some point in the future. The problem right now is that while there is some interest in the direct drive cars it is not enough to warrant the time and investment to get the kits on par with what we are currently selling. I know it sounds trivial but just getting the instruction manual up to date is a very time conuming process. Also for the number of cars we can sell It gets hard to justify the investment required right now. Remember too that even though there is still some demand the cars have been out there for 14 years now. When you compare what we can sell of those versus the numbers of newer kits we sell it is a dramatic difference. We will keep you posted though on exactly what will happen with them in the future.
Thanks

Well I currently have a RD header that looks just like that, but I do run the off-set, so still in search for a hearder that works with the off set, and tucks the LR in for set up options. B4 wheels and CW foams/wheels are tucked in, but dont work with that style header.
Good to hear about the DD car. My order for one of the new gen Enf would be one of the first.

I agree with the DD that it is a great car.......I just hope that you will always continue to produce parts for the DD. I agree that the adjustability of the gbx is far greater than the dd, but i have yet to be beat by one. I may be running 9 tooth pinions to be in the right gear range as a gbx on small tracks but still have yet to be out performed by one. I happen to stick to the direct drive for a couple reasons, Its what I know, and have owned the same enforcer for 10 years, the car has been nothing but good to me so why change. The other reason, to prove that a DD is still a great car and when setup right, with a good driver, has no problem with the new cars on the block. I guess the real question is, since you are not producing DD cars, will that ultimatly end up in deleting the DD classes in dirt oval racing? Is that the road we are trying to travel down?

I think the GBX car and DD car are both nice options...and they both have their place. I like the adjustability of the GBX car....I like lighter weight and simplicity and efficiency of the DD car. Dan - don't forget I've TQ'd both shows I've run at Brinks this year with a GBX car....and had one feature well in hand until one of those mechanical gremlins caught up with me. I'm going to run both cars this weekend...so everyone can see how they compare.

Nope...I was thinking of entering 2 cars in hopes of qualifying at least one for the A main. I haven't seen anything in the rules that says its not allowed!

There is definatly no doubt that the gbx is a fast car and with the adjustability it "should" be faster than the DD. up to this point, I have not seen one hands down blow away the other, thats one of my reasons for not jumping onto the bandwagon as of yet. I will probably never part with with my DD, when i retire from racing, the car will retire with me. But on the other hand I hate to see the DD cars go by the wayside becuase of parts availability. There really isnt that many DD cars left in our area running anymore so thats kind of worries me that someday soon the rules will change that you have to run a gearbox.
On another note though, Colin, with two pistol grip controllers, 2 cars, he can race against himself, maybe become the first guy in history to place 1st and 2nd in the same race.:)

thats funny @!#& right there, i dont care who ya are........:ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha:
I will have to agree, the way my DD is working right now, it will not leave my possesion.
By the way, Rob you mentioned "It will allow you to run most wheels and tires I beleive, as long as you dont have the car offset (left side tucked in)."
So what exhaust is recomended for off set car, pretty much my primary question, as i have found all kinds a stuff to use with out the off set, but i am looking to slam that LR tire in there, and if I need to space it out, i can proceed from there.

using the offset the mugen header will definetely not hit but there are guys using rd logics and ths pipe without issues
