Are the molds being redone to fix the loose bearing holes in the front wheels?:tire:  :tire:

The loose bearings were not a problem with the mold but actually due to a change in the material used in the last batch of wheels. Unfortunately there is a tremendous shortage in the plastics industry right now and it is affecting a lot of smaller molding companies. The minimums for material purchase have gone up a lot and in some cases we have had to seek alternative materials for some products. This new material was pretty much the same but appeared to have a slightly different shrink factor which caused the bearing holes to be slightly out of spec. For the most part they were still snug enough to work effectively without slop, but they didn't do as good a job at retaining the bearing. This should be corrected with our new batch of wheels which are being processed now.

Everything old is new again, isn't it? :ha:
The old white wheels were NEVER clean. They looked old and dirty the first time you would use them, and never cleaned up well. They dyed fine, but if you were using foams, it was a pain to get the pre-mounts to do anything but float in the dye. Not only that, but the foam took on a terrible tone depending on what color you used. Just a guess, but I'd say the black ones are highly preferred over the white nylon they used to sell. Personally, I hated them. The cage is great in white, but black for the rest of the nylon parts saves me LOTS of time and headaches dying stuff.
Now, if there was a REALLY stiff graphite or composite wheel option like the old TRC wheels, I'd be all over those. :D

Doug hit the nail on the head with his remarks. We have been looking at some alternative colors for the wheels but when you lighten them up you get the marbling effect that Doug refers to. However as far as the cages go. Thats a different story, tune in later this week for more info on that!
