Wally will the 2007 Season Opener be a carpet race like the one at fountain? I think it might be nice. There was a nice turn out.

the "carpet experiment " should be left just that........" an experiment"

i thought the WDRA letters stood for "World DIRT Racing Association" carpets for pan cars...

I agree.

And for at least the last 2 years, the season opener has been at RHR's Tracmaster Open

I have no problem with the opener being a carpet race

as long as the 2nd race is pancars only on dirt

Solly, no that isn't legal, wrong stickers, must have WDRA on it. I have run a pan car on dirt, doesn't take bumps too good. And yes I run in the Dust Buster class.:D

Right now, I'm planning on starting a little later for 2007, like early April or late March, and I want to wrap up in October.

I'm also thinking that the Summernats may be at night, so we can have a better track surface.

Any thought to having a night race during the summer of 2007 at Redneck?

It will be a 2 night event. Possibly 2 heats on Friday night and the 3rd and mains on Saturday night. Then everyone can travel home on Sunday. Not sure if racing on Friday night would have a negative effect on attendance though.

Im in for a mid winter carpet race. You know me...Something different.

Im also with Dylan...

No to the opener being the "Most expensive one day race on Dirt" @ RHR

and Im also with Wally...

Yes to SummerNats at Night. I think most people will be there Friday Night. "If you plan a race, They will come"

Although maybe have an early afternoon heat on Saturday just for those that do miss the Friday night heats. This way everyone gets a shot, even if you're a long hauler and can't get there Friday night.

I think the 2007 WDRA opener should be on DIRT.

But what about a carpet or concrete race if you could hold it during Motorsports Expo at the NYS Fair Grounds. A nice 2-day indoor race.
